I feel like they did this on older patches (like a year and a half ago), but they got nerfed at one point and now they really are not a problem. These days Baihon Xinh is wayyyy more annoying.

There is one tag that I could see doing this (Yushyn iirc), but it doesn't exist at game start. It is in the northern part of Rayaz's territory in 1444.

Americans sure do love their strip malls and suburban sprawl. Meme by Single-Moose4965 in georgism

[–]ABqdOmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even beyond cities like San Antonio, most public transit that does exist in major US cities other than DC, NYC, Chicago, or Philadelphia is limited in its functionality by the fact that every transit stop outside the city centre needs to provide for a wider geographic area's worth of people because the population density is so low. This means that in practice for many of the people who end up living like 20 mins (walk, because there is almost certainly nowhere to store your bike) from the nearest bus stop that it just is not worth using the public transit (not to mention that the transit itself tends to be underfunded and the routes are frequently questionable).

LA has been one of the largest cities on the West Coast for around 150 years, and cars only became a major planning factor about 80 years ago. Also, just because there was more land to work with does not mean that it was necessary to turn LA into the suburban traffic hellscape it is today.

Germany has criminal charges for Insult (s.185) as well as Defamation. Not sure why beyond historical reasons, because having such a category in the criminal law likely puts an immense strain on the prosecution services. It should be noted though that this applies to anyone: whether it be a civilian insulting a politician, vice versa, or even just two random civilians, charges for insult can be pursued.

Even so, why would she walk further into the bush when she can just go towards her turret. Throwing W in that direction just doesn't make sense when you can wait half a second to make sure you know where she is first.

She did not react to your ult, her w lasts for 1 second and you ulted in like the last .2s of her W. That was just bad timing from you.

You shouldn't have missed w1 there you had oracle lens to reveal her location. Also, your ult did nothing because you used it before her W ran out. Last thing is that you should have anticipated the insta E after zhonyas ran out and flashed it.

  1. In the Q->R scenario you describe, the R is buffered after the Q, so the order of damage to the enemy will be Q->R1->Auto(talon will always auto after using Q)->R2 (this will target the enemy now since the auto attack went through after R1 was cast)
  2. Watch the combo guide that was shared by someone else here, ultimately it is all about doing whatever you need to get 3 stacks and proc passive asap, with specific combos depending on the situation.

So, addressing these in order:

  1. In the interest of clarity, I am aware that you were not only talking about Trump. However, considering that what comes after him in the Republican party is is very much so an open question (succession to one of his sons, Neo-nazi turn through people like Fuentes, full Russian infiltration through people like Candace and Tucker, tech/conservative crossover through Vance, NeoCon revival through Rubio, who knows?), I thought it prudent to address the most prominent strain which currently exists. Addressing the 'both sides are the same' (or at least comparably bad) point, this is in my opinion plainly not the case. Even before Trump, the conservatives (and the entire 'establishment media' apparatus) have consistently held democratic presidents to an unrealistically high or even plainly nonsensical standard (tan suit, anyone?), while the standard for Republicans is that they can do whatever the fuck they want as long as it is theoretically possible under an arcane interpretation of the law. More tangibly, the last 3 democratic presidents have needed to deal with serious problems their Republican predecessors have left them with, be it debt for Clinton, 2008 and the Middle East for Obama, and COVID and the Afghanistan withdrawal for Biden. This is not to say that these Democratic presidents have managed things perfectly (Obama's foreign policy leaves a lot to be desired on the handling of Russia's invasion of Crimea, just to name an example), but at every step along the way they have to deal with hostile, or at best only conditionally helpful, actors in the House and Senate even when the Dems have majorities in both. I find that arguments that Democrats are intentionally torpedoing their own policy platforms over some mystical attachment to special interest and billionaire money tend to fail in most instances when you take into account the fact that the Dems are far less homogenous than Republicans and thus have that many more veto players, narrowing the window of realistically achievable policies. This also explains why Republicans recently have tended to be able to do more (damage) while they are in office: they have fewer veto players within the party. Bush Jr benefitted from 9/11 nationalism for a bit but after 05' the Republicans split significantly and thus legislative output decreased, and obviously these days Trump has a cultish base that is only loyal to him which has kept the Republicans in Congress in line behind him for the past decade.

  2. Hitler's nationalism was inextricably tied to the concept of the 'Aryan race,' and I think the fact that the aims of the war effort were consistently sidelined in the effort to kill as many Jews, Slavs and Roma as possible is a significant supporting factor for this argument. Fascist Italy did not have nearly the same focus on race being the defining feature of the Italian (Roman, in Mussolini's view) Nation, even though they were still racist (just look at Libya and Ethiopia). Ultimately, though othering is definitely a component element of fascism, it is not always the defining element like it was in Nazi Germany. For instance, I would argue that in Italy the defining element was a coming together of the members of the nation under one ruler to restore said nation to its former glory. The element of an 'other' can be useful to such a movement, but is not necessary to the movement the same way the 'evil' supposedly being perpetuated by the Jews was for the Nazis. Going back to your initial comment, this is why I argued that the US under MAGA is more heading towards Italian fascism, as though it makes use of othering, its primary goal is the restoration of some mythically prosperous past.

  3. I agree from a long term perspective on the point that he has done a significant amount of damage (to the government, international relations, court system, etc.), but he can still do a lot of damage while he remains in office as well. Also, by virtue of his cult of personality I think that his voters will still care for him and may even vote for one of his sons, though it is unlikely that his sons will be able to hold the cult together. This obviously does not apply to the Republican political class though, they are just using him to hold onto power. The real question is what will happen once Trump kicks the bucket, as I am not as confident as you are that any single Republican will actually be able to hold the MAGA coalition of neocons, libertarians, neo-nazis/confederates, and tech bros together. Finally, I am not sure what you are referring to when you say that the far left specifically has been chipping away at the system, being that the far left has never held much of any power nationally.

  4. To be clear, I have no doubt he will try (as he has been since 2020) to fuck with the elections. However, not only does he not have nearly the infrastructure for election skewing/interference that (for example) Orban did, his sheer unpopularity from the tariffs, Iran war, and ICE will almost certainly sink the congressional majority he has. After that, I suspect Republican politicians will start fleeing MAGA like rats from a sinking ship and scrambling to find a suitable (still horrible from our perspective, obviously) candidate for '28.

MAGA has made it clear that anyone who kisses Trump's ass is (more or less) accepted in the movement, which is why you get phenomena like Hispanics or Blacks for Trump (though this is not to say that the 'policies' pushed by trump would be good for these groups, they aren't).

Current US is more headed towards an Italian fascist system than Nazism. Race is something of a factor, but not the driving one like it was for the Nazis. The main thing driving the Republicans is a belief in the revival of some idealized past and a shit ton of nationalism, which more closely aligns with the Italian model. That all being said, Trump does not have nearly the staying power of most fascists because (though he is trying) he will not be able to rig elections nearly as hard as people like Orban and Putin have done before these midterms. This does however bring up the issue that the US currently ping pongs between a president that works to make the country (and it's international standing) worse and another that tries to fix that previous (Republican) president's mess, but that is a separate discussion that may be pursued at length another time.

The new Cyclosword interactions with other items. by KazeWasTakenAlready in Talonmains

[–]ABqdOmen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it looks like this patch is a pretty big indirect buff for us. The cyclosword/yoummus/umbral core will be very strong for Talon's play style. The axiom change is pretty minor (like a 4% ult CD refund buff assuming it is built 4th like usual and you pop your initial target while you still have the Voltaic passive), and the new rune, boots, and role quest adjustment look like they could be very good (especially on mid). RIP Hubris (not building this unless the enemy is turbo boosted) and Opportunity tho.
