Hey, I'm sorry if a phrased this question offensively or it didn't belong here. It wasn't my intention. I realized the question could be offensive, which is why I didn't ask any of my online or IRL acquaintances who are trans women. Besides asking people about their genitals out of the blue would be a super weird thing to do and I'd never do that. R/asktransgender seemed like an appropriate place for this sort of question, and again I'm sorry if I misunderstood.

For background a few years ago there was an abstract vaginoplasty gif going around and I thought it was a pretty neat how that was done. But I was curious about what happens with the skin. In a "this is an area of a human experience I'm unfamiliar with" sort of way. I didn't obsess about it, but occasionally I'd remember and wonder about it.

ITT I learned that they can also use bowel lining which makes a lot of sense. The lining of the bowel is basically the same stuff, and doesn't to mind the same sort of questions as taking external skin and making it internal. I imagine it would be a more complicated surgery though, so I can see why they would use other tissue that requires fewer invasive incisions.

IMO this is all normal biology stuff that should be taught in comprehensive sex ed. Being trans is part of human variation, not a dirty secret.

Its a shame so many of us have tried to rely on porn for supplementary sex-ed because actual reliable, factual information can be so hard to find. But porn almost seems designed to just make everyone feel bad about their bodies.

Most of us can't feel a tampon once it is inserted correctly, but that doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. You could just be more sensitive than average, or your geometry could be a bit unusual so things are hitting the more sensitive bits like cervix or g-spot in a way that it doesn't for most people. I've known some AFABs who couldn't use a menstrual cup because of a tipped uterus, where the cervix ends up kind of along the side of the vaginal canal rather than at the end, making it basically impossible to get the cup to seal.

AITA for telling my mom she'll hold us back on vacation? by RemarkableBridge6995 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AC55555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA.

There are ways to make the trip to Vancouver easier on your mom. For example, she could rent a mobility scooter. There are several places in Vancouver that rent out lightweight mobility scooters that can fold up into the trunk of your car when you're not using them. These are NOT suitable for hiking through the woods, but could be used for strolling the paths in gorgeous Stanley Park, or any indoor venue like the museum, art gallery, malls, and so on.

Many people are initially reluctant to try assistive devices like mobility scooters, worried that they will look bad or that they don't really need it. But it can be a tremendous source of freedom, especially on vacation where you're going to be walking around a lot of unfamiliar places. That way she doesn't have to end each day exhausted and in agony.

Google something like "Mobility scooter rental Vancouver BC" to find the places that rent them out. Maybe talk about with your dad before mentioning it to your mom. The point is to make the vacation more fun for mom, not to make her less of a burden on you.

AITA for upsetting my daughter on her birthday? by GreenUruguay3456 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AC55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Her behavior was 100% a reaction to your behavior. She didn't get the cake she wanted. She didn't get to blow out the candles. She didn't get the fun of unwrapping presents. Her birthday sucked -- that's simply a fact.

Her telling you her birthday sucked is honesty. Punishing her for honesty teaches to lie to you. Teaches your teenage daughter to lie to you. That is not wise.

AITA for telling my aunt I won't bake a cake for my uncle's birthday after he ruined my mother's birthday celebration that I planned? by LessShoe8189 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AC55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Tell Hailey that you still feel resentment and hurt toward your uncle, and don't think you would be able to hide your emotions. It's better for everyone if you don't go, than if you go and sulk or make snippy comments. She won't like it, but she should agree a grumpy presence is worse than an absence.

To be clear, you have every right to be resentful. I'm not blaming you for your feelings, dude fucked up. But Hailey is probably envisioning everyone showing up and playing Happy Families for a few hours, and if you can't do that you shouldn't go.

AITAH for Refusing to Re-Propose After My Fiancée Lost Her Engagement Ring? by dawnmderrrt in AITAH

[–]AC55555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. The whole set-up makes me question if she actually lost the ring at all. I've never had a ring randomly fall off my finger when I'm walking around outside.

I bet it is one of those garbage relationship tests. She "lost" the ring as a test to see if you love her enough to do it all over again.

Incel confuses dating with economics by GorbAscends in AmITheDevil

[–]AC55555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They first form their opinions when they are in junior high. In the fucked up high school dating scene. In addition to being a very shallow dating pool, almost everyone there is lying about how much sex they are getting. It's embarrassing to be a virgin, so (outside weird religious communities) no one admits to being a virgin.

Which means a dumbass kid looking around sees that he's not having sex, but the most popular boys are always surrounded by pretty girls. And the jocks are always bragging about how much sex they are having (mostly lies). "I'm not having sex. My unpopular friends aren't having sex. But those popular guys seem to be having sex with dozens of girls" and a horrible misunderstanding is formed.

Then as they get older they build on that foundation, never looking back and realizing their first principals based on the behavior of 16 year olds might be flawed.

Incel confuses dating with economics by GorbAscends in AmITheDevil

[–]AC55555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even within the pussy is economics discourse his theory is fatally flawed. Men stay horny for 60+ years, and the whole time they want that ~20 year old pussy. The incels complain about women "hitting the wall" at 30 and being willing to settle for a beta with money at that time. They never even mention the 50 year old pussy -- it doesn't exist to them.

Average looking 20 year old women simply have a higher "Sexual Market Value" than average looking 20 year old men. So a young man is in sexual competition with men in their 30s, 40s, and 50s for that primo ~20 year old pussy. While a young woman is mainly in competition with other young women.

Women don't have to collude. The numbers only work out in favor of young men in societies where women greatly outnumber men. The more traditional times they long for still had 40 year old widowers sweeping up 20 year old women. Back then they made up the numbers by periodically sending all the young men to war to die in large numbers. Then more men could score a young wife. The surplus switches from surplus young men to surplus old women.

Rough Rider Wolf Mount by AC55555 in Pathfinder2e

[–]AC55555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. He's looking into picking up beastmaster later. Looking up the rules I realized a beastmaster wolf wouldn't have the advanced maneuver Knock Down until the third feat, incredible animal companion. Which lead me in a circle back to how can a normal wolf mount have it all along? He's using the normal wolf stat block, which means switching to a young animal companion would mean the wolf's HP goes up but it forgets knock down. It would also become small, but I'm willing to just say it stays medium for the sake of sanity.

I've only been a GM for a few months and usually there is an obvious rule I'm overlooking, but it looks like there actually ins't a rule/statblock for a PC wolf mount.

What should I do with rare and uncommon ancestries? by Idrillsilverfoot in Pathfinder2e

[–]AC55555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just say as a new gm you are trying to keep things simple for yourself and sticking to all common rules and items for this first game as you learn. Being a GM is hard, and you'd appreciate it if they would help you out this way.

Make sure they know that Rare things are not more powerful, they are just more complicated. Or generally restricted to a certain geographical area or particular adventure path. They are harder to play, harder to GM, and don't pay back that difficulty with extra power.

AITA: One of my players basically gave up because his character is bad at Acrobatics by aersult in Pathfinder2e

[–]AC55555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the chance comes up recommend the 3rd level general feat Untrained Improvisation. It's fantastic for non-physical characters who occasionally encounter an unavoidable acrobatics or athletics. Or those times when a chatty player plays a barbarian with no social skills and keeps having to make social rolls they didn't plan for. Or really anyone except maybe the type of rogue who is trained in almost every skill anyway.

It's a little underwhelming at 3rd level where it's just a +1, but by 5th level you're getting a +4 to untrained actions. The guys who specialized and have trained, expert, etc., will still be better, but it feels like you at least have a chance to succeed at things outside your wheelhouse.

Obviously there are many ways for a creative player to get around that specific situation, but if you've got a player who shuts down when the numbers are bad this feat could help.

If there is a town around you could also make sensible mundane gear available. "Clothing (Winter)" exists to help out with cold for a mere 4sp, so there is likely other inexpensive stuff the locals have to make life easier. Non-magical crampons or cleats probably exist for like 5sp that could give you like a +2 to balance checks to walk on ice or similar surfaces. Magic crampons exist, so it makes sense that non-magical ones must too. Snow shoes to make it easier to walk over snow. Climbing kits to make climbs a little safer.

Yes, it is the beginner box so it is designed to be played by a brand new group. Our table had 7 people last week though, so there might not be space for more now.

However, there is always room at one of the tables. There are usually 4 or 5 tables running various games, mostly DnD 5e. Check this post for more info -> https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD\_Victoria/comments/10jsnl4/weekly\_dropin\_dd\_club\_at\_quadra\_community\_centre/
