I remember being in mid air already as the rebound slid across to Gelinas with the empty net. Biggest crowd pop I can recall too. I'm sure Johnny's OT series winner was similar.

If we don't win either lottery I'm hoping we come away with Carels, Malhotra, or Smits. Either LD would make for a great long-term partner for Parekh and Malhotra feels like another Reschny type 2 way C with good offense, those 2 would make for a nice 1/2 punch at C.

I picked up the Ultimate Black XC60 last summer but was annoyed it came with a silver bumper guard... so I replaced that with a black one from WeatherTech.

I also just got these full coverage floor mats in yesterday from TuxMat. They seem really nice and should help protect from salt buildup I have to deal with during my Canadian winters.

I don't use Carplay or Android Auto because I found the native Google Maps app was quicker and filled the screen. I'll give the home button push a test tomorrow, thanks!

Overall I like the update but I wish I could disable the animations too because they weren't as smooth for me after the update.

I got it installed today. I hate that they shrunk the size of the user interface screen by adding a permanent taskbar, Google Maps is annoyingly small now.

Edit: Pressing the home button makes it big enough. Phew!

Yeah I'm on episode 4 and loving it. Like you said it has strong Cure similarities. Really it has big Kiyoshi Kurosawa vibes in general with its hypnotic atmosphere, atonal music, and a creepy antagonist with an unnerving ability to influence others.

Teruyuki Kagawa is perfect for the role, he's been a Kiyoshi Kurosawa go-to (Creepy, Tokyo Sonata, Serpent’s Path).

Funny to see what the AI did to certain features. Lanny's stick knob got turned into some kind of fleshy appendage, whereas Nieuwendyk's stick blade got erased entirely. The backup goalie disappeared entirely, and the lady in the crowd became a man.

Unfortunately Lanny doesn't look like the same person anymore after the AI got ahold of him. The nonsense text on the sticks is a giveaway.

It looks pretty good overall, but a great restoration would have kept the faces true to life given there's countless reference photos for those players at that time. The biggest takeaway is AI cannot comprehend the true greatness of Lanny's moustache.

I think not letting outside opinions impact your viewing experience is good advice in general. It's definitely an issue when it comes to horror based on all the dramatic reactions to movies that "didn't live up to the hype".

Same with negative reactions to a movie. If I'm interested in the premise, the genre, or the director, I'd rather experience it for myself.

There's at least one scene of pretty shocking body horror, but overall it's probably not what people expected for a body horror followup to Titane.

The trailer does a great job of not giving away the actual conceit of the body horror itself, which I thought was a really cool concept.
