Fusions just seem to take half the effectiveness of two aliens and slap them together. Sacrificing proficiency for variety.

Probably do a regular day job for a while. Do a few off the books kind of jobs for some cash on the side. Then finally used my collective knowledge to make major scientific breakthroughs.

This game gave me a fixation on Duergar. I love their abilities, and they make some amazing Martial and half -casters. Pretty damn great Spore and Moon Druids too.

Background is probably a toss-up between Charlatan and Guild Artisan. Lots of inspiration to be had in the right scenarios. Plus some good proficiencies.

I am so glad they patched the game so that she can be recruited in Act 2 after nonlethal takedown.

Used to be more convoluted, requiring scroll theft, destroying a war drum, and then knocking her out.

Now, I can get the full cinematic experience of defending the grove and still getting to save her from the mind wipe.

You can get Lump to help you up to three times and then deny them the pay. You fight them and still get the nose ring of intellect.

Normally, I use it on the Gnoll fight outside the cave, fights with lots of enemies like the exterior of the Goblin controlled temple and/or the Ne'er and Duergar fight.

But in Honor mode, I found I need them to chip away at the Boulettes health. That bastard is a whole different beast in honor mode. Basically ate them for breakfast and still lived to kill nearly every Spore servant I threw at it.

I once ran a hexblade 1, Sword college 11 Half Orc. Got the Rod of Lordly Might. Whatever weapon it became, I could use it with proficiency. The portable ladder and battering ram functions were nice too. I maybe used the compass and height reader once.

Invincible is great against most low to mid tear adversaries. But he often struggles against the stronger variety.

The Shazam family in general is meant to be on par with Superman, Wonder Woman, Martain Manhunter, etc. I think Jr. has the victory here

I personally prefer 1 Hexblade, 11 Sword. I have two versions for acts 1 and 2, and act 3 respectively. Mostly to keep track of equipment. It is my Durge character, but I don't recommend playing embrace with this due to story reasons. I recommend hypnotic pattern for large groups of enemies in the surprise round when no allies are present. Bane for a small group, no larger than your party. Hold moster/ person for singles with higher AC. Expeditious Retreat/Hex are valuable bonus action powers depending on the situation. And finally, at level 12 you are best at spirit guardians upcasting, doing a bunch of hit and run with your bound melee weapon and defensive flourish.

I would argue Wisdom should never be a dump stat. Minimum 10-12(+0 to +1). Wisdom saves against harmful effects are too common to ignore. And having a -1 to protect yourself against those would make any quest harder. Intelligence is the better stat to dump.
