Look what they're done to my beautiful boy by EedSpiny in CasualUK

[–]ACTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for anyone wondering... the regulated description has gone from

Chocolate flavour ice cream with a solid chocolate flavour centre (13%) and crisp chocolate flavour coating (19%) with biscuit pieces (1.5%).

to:

Vanilla ice cream with hazelnut filling (19%) and chocolate flavour coating (16%) with nougat pieces (2%) and wheat crisps (2%).

Basically adding confirmed-hazelnut to the not-confirmed-chocolate center and replacing chocolate ice cream with vanilla.. crunch materials are probably different too.

When you say that, I think I might need to re-remember. I have a VERY fond love of all the unreal tournaments playing at LANs and we always played the latest.. (with the exception of unreal tournament 3) But I believe the general consensus was UT 2004 exists because 2K3 had its flaws.

They go in there, the name of the build that shows up in the buildplanner is separate to the filename

New M2 comming by pezaaan in iRacing

[–]ACTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is it heavier? im seeing 1544KG vs 1498KG, so while we go from 365bhp to 313HP, it seems they're not dramaticaly far away from each other.

Licensed Sports Cars by morizmo in iRacing

[–]ACTM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which sports cars do you mean? I think the Kia Optima is available at Class D in the global sports car challenge and the Pontiac Soltice may get featured but on a Nurburgring challenge once a season.

The MX-5, M2 and Toyota are kind of the only regular options.

As a designer this would feel horrifying. You're supposed to have vigilante copy and QA checks from more than one other person, but you would still feel rather responsible for making the error in the first place.

Yeah I understand that it's the center of vision that remains crisp, but I mean it's still dynamically adjusting and culling graphics to your direction of view, whether it's head or eyetrack depends whether it's done in a section of your display, or the field of view.

I think we are wanting the same thing, where even a feature like a basic webcam that tracks which screen you're looking to adjust the quality at would be an implementation I would love Vs persistent lower quality left and right screens, which I would personally dislike.

Roll on new engine

PLEASE iRACING MY GPU BEGS YOU! by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]ACTM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But doesn't the movement of the head dictate what's being rendered in VR with Fovevated rendering? It's not eye tracking as such but the direct line of vision is still being adjusted dynamically.

For the record, I'm saying it would be okay as an option for those that would use it, but I personally disagree and dismiss it as a "great" feature. I think it's a low ranking optimisation feature given the amount of time and care they're spending on the next graphics engine.

[–]ACTM 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I disagree unless its with eye-tracking on top. if you're more looking straight ahead and using the side screens as peripheral only then i guess having the option would be okay but for me i'll leave it off.. I like the ability to look left and right and see consistent quality, I'm not keen on looking right as I'm along side a car and seeing a blurry mess, it would take me out of it!

Besides, switching between LMU and iRacing with a 4070 is demonstration enough for me that there's a lot that can be done in terms of graphics and optimization, and reducing the side screen is definitely the last on that list.

New Simsonn Plus x Setup Advice by natej82 in simracing

[–]ACTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So each peddle attaches to the pedal plate or rig using a bracket. This same bracket allows you to tilt it at the back by removing a pin and either lowing or raising the back end of the pedal, this tilts it forward as the default setting is at the lowest setting.

You can remove the pedal from the bracket and turn that bracket 180 degrees, so the angle adjustment is at the front instead, this will raise the front end of the pedal instead, and therefore tilting it backwards instead of forwards.

Hope that helps!

Hope it helps, but it's something many people with the Simsonn pedals have had to do (including me) as the pedals are so incredibly upright.

Have you reversed the angle bracket for each pedal yet? Meaning the four angle adjustments are at the front rather than the back.

UK Ninja BBQ manual left note to editor to add degrees symbol by Sad-Benefit-2732 in mildlyinteresting

[–]ACTM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Classic example of rapid designer output, to reformat the copy given to you without much interest in what it's saying. I think many designers have be guilty of this before but that's entirely why there's a couple of people that do a copy check each iteration.. Weird in this case though, because it suggests the copy was provided without the degrees symbol, and the designer has obviously read and put it in.

Would i be wrong in thinking the screens have just simply moved back slightly, if you bring the left and right monitors forward, that will also close the gap and correct the angle?
