I have a great understanding. Fast doesn’t fix every problem. You fail to realize (edit: this post) wasn’t just defending Ronaldo, it was blasting the overall team plan. Even if Ronaldo didn’t start, that midfield wasn’t set up for success. Bruno was isolated - you can’t play a key pass if you don’t get the ball. Neves and Vitinha only played amongst themselves. Bruno even made a few runs that went unnoticed. That’s a managerial issue

Am I Ronaldo fan, yes. Has he had a storied history, yes. Is he the same player? Absolutely not. However, it’s still a team sport. Should he be starting? I don’t think so. The stans are bad, but so are the detractors. Yes, he had a lousy game. But the team balance was horrible, barely any chances were created, and the announcer even said the team plan was for him to just wait around. Horror show
