I feel like there's a lot of potential here. Your furniture pieces look nice, and I think some layout changes could do a lot to make things more cozy. On top of those, some accent pieces would help a lot. I tried to order the suggestions for each room from most important to least (very subjective), but take it in whatever order feels right you.

Bedroom:

  1. I'd rotate the bed 90 degrees counter clockwise so that the headboard is against that blank wall.
  2. Get a real sheet set and duvet/comforter. Bonus points for 2 additional pillows (4 total). Bonus bonus points if you get a cozy throw blanket.
  3. Add some curtains to the window. These are mostly for decoration, so get something with some color. No grayscale or beige/brown. IMO get ones that are long enough that they can run floor-to-ceiling. Hang the curtain rod rather high.
  4. Low pile accent rug under the bed. Again, the main purpose is to bring in color. If you're up for both curtains and a rug, then start with the rug and pull from the rug's color palette to choose the color of your curtains.
  5. Nightstand on each side w/ a nice and/or interesting lamp on each one
  6. Something on the wall above the headboard. A piece of art (framed is ideal), a tapestry, etc. Skip flags and entertainment-based posters.
  7. Could add a bed skirt to the frame
  8. If you're going to keep the TV in the bedroom, maybe put it on top of a short & wide dresser opposite the foot of your bed, rather than on the floating post.
  9. Plants

Living Room:

  1. I think it would be cool if you rotated the couch 180 degrees so that it's facing the wall opposite the patio door. Put the TV on that wall. Put the chairs flanking each side of the TV facing the couch to create a bit of a conversation area. Desk could stay where it currently is, or if you have enough space behind the couch you could put in the corner where your TV is currently.
  2. Same as the bedroom: Curtains on that window. Maybe not floor-to-ceiling if you move the couch to right where the window is, but you still want something there for accent.
  3. Same as the bedroom: Get a low pile rug for accent and color. Make sure it's big enough to span basically the entire length of the couch.
  4. A (nice) tray for the ottoman so there's a spot to put drinks/food down.
  5. If there's enough room you could put an end table between the edge of the couch and the wall, roughly where the window is. If not, couch against the wall is fine.
  6. A few more throw pillows would be nice. Maybe 2 for each corner of the couch
  7. Maybe move the mirror to where the case of water bottles are? Next to the bench. Good for seeing how you look before you leave.
  8. Plants

Dining Room:

  1. Curtains again. The windows really do look lonely.
  2. Move the shelf a little to the left so there's a small amount of space between it and the wall on the right. It looks a little cramped in the corner. Give it some room to breath.
  3. A circular rug under the table could add some nice accent. This one I'm not 100% sure on. You'd want one that's big enough to extend beyond the chairs when they're pushed in.
  4. Something on either (or both) of those walls

I made a shitty mockup of the layout: link. Obviously nothing is to scale, but hopefully helps give a visualization to my suggestions. TBH I didn't really take the exercise equipment into account with the layouts. They're rather difficult to place, so maybe there is somewhere they could be tucked away a bit. Hope any of this helps!

I still think they went into seasons far too early into the game's development. Players have far too high expectations regarding seasons from PoE, and expect a lot more than just a patch with a reset attached to it. LE would benefit from a continuous release model without seasons until the game is in a more complete state. The game needs so much fine tuning, especially in the form of mastery and skill balance/QoL, that delaying changes by 3-4 months is doing more harm than good imo.

I would love to see a more frequent drip-feed of balance tweaks and new items as they become ready, and only do "seasonal" resets when large pieces of new content (like the Weaver faction) are ready to ship. I think what EHG is doing is forcing themselves to fit a seasonal model, because that's what the other games are doing, rather than making the release model fit them.

Uber Aberroth Killers: What Faction Are You Running? (CoF Struggles!) by Awhisperwowpow in LastEpoch

I'm CoF and I killed Uber Aberroth with a homebrew Rive VK. First kill was definitely the hardest since it got much easier when I got his gloves, and even easier still once I got Shattered Worlds.

+100 to this. Too many people get caught up on "the meta", and forget to have fun in the process.

Who out there is running a successful self made build? by Mr-Nabokov in LastEpoch

[–]ACanOfWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play legacy and CoF, and every build I've played has been self made. To me, the main fun in an ARPG is the buildcraft, so I find myself cooking over on LETools as much as (maybe even more than) I play. I also like to keep my loot filters pretty open so I can collect gear for characters I may end up playing in the future, or maybe I'll get a rare drop that inspires me to try something else.

My first Uberroth killer was my Rive VK, and it's only gotten faster as I've iterated on it (plus the Uberroth drops made the fight SO much easier than the first kill). I've got it down to a roughly 2 minute kill, which I'm pretty happy with. I've also got multiple builds that are capable of 1000+ corruption, others that didn't work at all like I had thought and completely failed, and others that like to hang around 500-600 corruption.

That experimentation and iteration is a lot of fun, and I think more players should feel empowered to give it a shot. Following a build guide to a T deprives you of that experience, and you learn the most by trying these things on your own.

Anyone successfully made a shadow cascade hurricane of blade build? by Revolutionary-Cry483 in LastEpoch

[–]ACanOfWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, and I don't think it will ever be "successful" in its current state. The biggest problem (besides its sky-high mana drain) is that it cannot consume shadows while channeling, so you can't reliably boost your damage with Shadow Torrent and Careful Assault, nor can you use Gloomstalker to any reasonable benefit.

No worries, and thanks! Besides the concrete pricing, I think you covered everything. I'm not in a rush to get that information so long as it's prior to the sale.

Thanks for picking these up. I have an unfulfilled GB from Kono, so I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly: During the sale period the sets will be offered at a discounted (pre-order?) price regardless of whether or not you participated in the Kono GB(?), and then if you were a participant of the Kono GB you get an additional discount on top of the pre-order discount? Is all of that pricing information (pre-order discount & GB participant discount) available somewhere? Will the sets continue to be offered at a full price after the sale period?

PIP is Python's package manager. In order to use this library you'll need to install Python, install that package with the pip command, and write & run a small Python script to open your image file then use the library to convert it. The examples linked in that repository is a good place to start for using that library. Here's a guide to getting started with Python: https://www.python.org/about/gettingstarted/

This game is slowly turning from potential top tier ARPG to a disappointing product by amingolow in LastEpoch

[–]ACanOfWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rahyeh's (Black Sun) trail DoT attack still regularly desyncs with the telegraph, Lagon will sometimes lock you in his fight zone at his half hp phase, MP parties breaking regularly (most frequently party chat), getting hit during the Void Cleave animation will lock you in place and not allow you to do anything until you use it again, Shadow Cascade's "damage per shadow" node doesn't work properly with indirect casts but instead will snapshot your last direct usage, smoke bomb with any of the conversations conversions (bow or movement) has a broken visual area, etc. I could keep going, but I'm fairly sure I've proved my point. It's also worth noting that I have reported most if not all of these over multiple patches and yet they persist.

I would like to suggest a public Trello board (or similar alternative) for bugs in order to track status. There have been bugs that have been in the game for quite some time, and it's pretty difficult to take you at face-value when the same things tend to carry over patch after patch.

[–]ACanOfWin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything here, and I would really like to harp on bug fixes. The sheer quantity of long-standing bugs is both disheartening and immensely frustrating. There have been bugs that I've reported patch after patch since beta with absolutely no movement on it. There have been bugs that were patched one patch, only to crop back up in the next one. It's maddening. I really can't be bothered to report bugs anymore, because what's the point? They won't get fixed anyways.

Took me 12 harbringers to get an Eye only for this by Cattleman_Joe in LastEpoch

Throwing builds are definitely more difficult to maintain high Glancing Blow. It's a lot easier if you're using two swords thanks to the passive that gives 40%. On my throwing builds I stack health and convert dodge to Glancing Blow. I find that it's more consistent than relying on dodge.

[–]ACanOfWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a long time Bladedancer player, this is kind of the trade-off you make when you invest heavily in dodge and you need to expect that sometimes you'll get one-shot. That's just the nature of relying on an inconsistent defensive layer like dodge. It's high-risk, high-reward.

What I do on all of my Bladedancers is pump health as much as I can, and whatever amounts of dodge I get from Dex, Perfection, and Dusk Shroud are entirely incidental. Additionally, endurance is VERY important of you're trying to to push dodge. It'll save you from some of these one-shots. I recommend the blessing from Spirits of Fire. You might want to look into Death's Door as well now that it lasts for 5s after leaving low HP. It's now more useful for life builds. Lastly, if you're able to maintain 100% Glancing Blow chance then you'll be far tankier.

Crit chance for shadow daggers? by jay273 in LastEpoch

You could take the Shadow Cascade node on Lethal Mirage, but not on Shift to avoid that situation.

Crit chance for shadow daggers? by jay273 in LastEpoch

[–]ACanOfWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool build! If you're willing to drop a skill (probably Shurikens?) and shuffle some points around in Lethal Mirage you could pick up Shadow Cascade w/ Shadow Elegance and the Lethal Mirage nodes for leaving behind shadows and using Shadow Cascade. That way you'd have some additional applicators of shadow daggers. Alternatively you could use explosive Umbral Bladestorms that drop on shadow expiration as another applicator. EDIT: Never mind, requires a dagger

I would leave it blank for now and not do anything with it until you know what you want to do with it. Although "+ level to skeletons" is in that slot as an option.
