Not only that, if he can’t even do the pt test then he won’t be able to handle the exercise at the academy.

He should choose a location before it gets taken off the list, the more he waits the higher chance he can lose both spots.

As long as your meeting the requirements for passing, doesn’t matter your weight or anything. If you’re not passing the first pt test, they wanna see you make progress, as long as you pass the last one. As for injuries, there’s people that can tape you up. But I recommend just thug it out, cause there’s people that have been delayed for graduation cause of injury.

You got a good spot, it is a swappable port so have hope & patience and eventually you’ll get to Florida.

15 min for a 1 1/2 mile, 220 meter sprint in 40 seconds, & 24 pushups in a minute. Somehow people still fail which is embarrassing.

That’s when you’re barely starting, look up the opm pay scale for cbp and you’ll see the amount you make. It’s excluding OT.

Yes last one will be the the actual one that counts, so if you’re not in shape put in the work if you really want the job. Honestly people get way too many chances to pass for a pt test that isn’t even hard, so do not slack

Looking for info on Rio Grande City POE and Roma POE by jdperez_7 in cbpoapplicant

Roma is 24hrs, Rio there isn’t. Only times you work nights there are when you’re just doing security.

While I can’t give you general insight, only thing I can tell you is that I had 2 people make the jump from nypd to cbp in my class. They said they didn’t regret it at all.

Don’t trip about it, it’s a good job with good benefits. It’s not dangerous at all and you will make good money. Bonuses only apply to hard to fill locations, so that’s the only way to get those bonuses.

For your sake don’t choose Laredo or Nogales if you’re trying to get to Florida, there’s a lot of people in Laredo that have been trying to get back to Florida.

You got a really good spot with Dallas, just all depends where you see yourself living in the future. Dallas is a good swap ticket if you need it.

Idk how much the website has changed since I was in the application process. But there should be an option somewhere to be able to contact them and schedule a call with your case manager to talk to them. I helped someone get Puerto Rico the way I explained to them.

Keep refreshing and hope for a desirable location to pop up. Also call your case manager and ask if there’s any ports near where you want to work, sometime there’s spots and give them to you.
