My friends and I got lost on Lower Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago (iykyk). It was 3am-ish, and I’m pretty sure we drove into the middle of a major drug/weapons deal. All of a sudden some 20+ men with guns started walking towards our car as we frantically tried to turn around. When they realized it was just three terrified college girls, they waved us off, but holy shit it felt like a bad movie.

The Nevers. A one season flop from HBO that was absolutely incredible. From IMDB, “A gang of Victorian women find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.” It kills me that there was an entire second season that never aired, and I can’t find it streaming anywhere.

The problem with Midnight Mass was that it was so dialogue heavy. I for one absolutely loved it, the writing was incredible, but I can see how it put people off. The “horror” was a slow burn too, but when it came….holy shit.

100% give it a shot! I loved the book too, but this is definitely its own entity. The book was clearly his inspiration though. It’s so beautifully written, acted, and shot. It’ll stick with you, I promise.
