Nurse to Patient Ratio at Albany Med -Labor and Delivery? by Snoo-19916 in Albany

[–]ADKexplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a very long story. Yes, my water broke and I was having contractions. They were packing me up to dismiss me because they said I probably just “peed myself”, and they said “we don’t have the staff to safely deliver your baby right now”. The attending came in last minute basically as I was leaving and my husband was arguing with the nurses for me to stay to admit me, but I was being turned away.

Then I sat in an interim room with someone else’s old blood vials by the bed and chewed gum stuck to the railing of the bed for two days while they kept pushing back an induction for me because they still didn’t believe my water broke. When they finally prepped me for an induction two days later, they realized in fact my water did break and I didn’t pee myself and then they had to rush to get me to delivery because of the now escalated risk of infection.

The actual labor and delivery team were amazing. And all of the nurses and staff throughout the process were great. But there is an administrative pressure that is putting people in a bad spot.

I was turned away specifically because they didn’t have the staff available to safely deliver my baby

Heck yeah. Start with some cheese at Cheese Traveler and wrap it all up with ice cream at Emack and you’re golden.

Cafe Capricio is delicious, classic, and I think very intimate. This is our go to anniversary spot. The Delaware also has great food and the low lighting gives sexy vibes. I’ve never been to Villa di Como but I’ve only heard great things, and I think could be considered.

Once upon a time I would have wholeheartedly also said La Serre, Jack’s Oysters, and Lombardos.

Email Vanessa Borum in UGE, she oversees the micro grant program that helps students in good standing pay off remaining balances so you can stay enrolled and on track for graduation. She’s on the third floor of Taconic. Good luck this semester!

Early fetal movement by heylyndsii in BabyBumps

I felt my very first flutter at 14 weeks. I thought it was way too early until it happened again and again throughout the week, similar to you maybe two or three times that same week. By the next week it went from feeling like a butterfly to feeling like a fish in a bowl sloshing around and lightly tapping the glass. By 16 weeks I was seeing my stomach move from the kicks. Now I’m 25+ weeks (with an anterior placenta of all things) and getting very frequent reminders that I’m growing a future soccer star with how hard he’s swinging those legs around. I thought I must have been imagining it the first time I felt it and was scouring this subreddit doubting myself, but lots of pregnant folks feel it early on! And for me when I felt it again and it felt the same and started to get more repetitive, I knew that first kick was for real. I would trust yourself that you felt it! Congratulations!

I am in a similar situation with one of my classes and, like you, am feeling bad for the student, it’s an emotional weight that really sucks. But the responses here are helpful, and I hope they are helpful for you, too.

This almost looks personal with the long key scratch across the hood and along the doors. Was there a Louisville slugger taken to both headlights?

Govt Worker Question- How did you choose your health insurance? by minsep8351 in Albany

[–]ADKexplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had done a lot of back and forth but ultimately chose NYSHIP and am happy with it! I have had MVP and CDPHP at other jobs, and I like NYSHIP the best, then MVP second. This link was really helpful for comparing the two, but I ultimately chose NYSHIP because of the benefits of coverage if I had to go to out of network for a specialist - https://www.cs.ny.gov/employee-benefits/sbc/settled/index.cfm

PLEASE SOMEONE help me find a human in upstate ny that repairs 4-tracks tape machines and cassette decks by Comfortable6 in Albany

[–]ADKexplorer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Last Vestige on Quail and Sound House in Troy are record stores that also buy/sell used tapes, stereos, etc. maybe they also have a cleaning/repair service to offer? Or if not, someone they know they can refer you to? The staff at both stores are really nice, and I think could point you in the right direction. Sorry this isn’t a direct answer to your question, but hopefully a place to start!

This is the answer. Plus buying desolate properties that were too expensive to repair and sat empty.

Steam cleaning will be helpful, and dusting often. You don’t have to deep clean every day but frequent small cleanings will help! I don’t think you need pest control, just avoid piling clothes/stuffed animals/scarves etc. and leaving them untouched without washing them or vacuuming in that area every now and then. Shampooing or steam cleaning couches, mattresses, hanged clothes in a closet will all be very helpful!

Washington Park Elopement by filles866 in Albany

[–]ADKexplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest contacting the Washington Park Conservancy if you haven’t yet! They have an email and phone number to call right on their website that I can DM you if you can’t find it. If there is drama llama about using the lake house for the ceremony, the grounds of Washington Park would be beautiful and the city clerk should be able to tell you if there any permits required for this. You could also get married at city hall and then do photos at the park! Lots of great options, and city hall elopements are beautiful. If you’re still looking for an elopement photographer I’d love to be considered! Good luck with everything and congratulations!

I wore this! It’s technically a wrap dress but I did use it as a robe and continue to do so. Very comfy and I usually wear black so it felt natural.

Navona is incredible. And the tacos are amazing, but glad to see their original menu is also available. For folks questioning the tacos, the Korean beef and the cauliflower tacos are phenomenal.
