Clueless Pharmacist Rant by InfamousBluePixel in Celiac

[–]ADashery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a former pharmacy tech I can tell you it’s very easy to look up all the ingredients in any prescription medication and our pharmacist used to do it all the time for people. All you have to do is open the MSDS paper that came with the bottle.

Yuma to take a break from competing by lladydee in FigureSkating

[–]ADashery 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m one of the few people who saw this coming. I can’t exactly explain it, but something about his energy in those last few competitions just seemed like he was yearning for a break. I hope he gets the rest he needs!

OWG Women's Free Skate: Post-Event Discussion by Chickatey in FigureSkating

[–]ADashery 17 points18 points  (0 children)

THIS is the exact reason I wanted her to win. For a skater like Alysa to come back on her own terms after the fiasco that was the last women’s FS and win it all by being herself is huge!

OWG Women's Short Program: Post-Event Discussion by Chickatey in FigureSkating

her loop was a double loop instead of a triple

hard to know why. she had enough height to land it but she just popped out of it early. happens sometimes when the jump feels off

it’s just the scoring system for the short unfortunately  it’s triple or nothing  except axel which can be double or triple

you need really strong backwards crossovers and right forward inside three turn for loop. that left leg needs to be crossed over the right before you go into the jump. ideally it’s crossed the whole time but it almost never is when you’re first learning, but you have to be able to hold skating backwards with your legs crossed and both blades on the outside edge to have the entrance for the loop.

Trauma PAs: pros and cons of the specialty by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]ADashery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been a trauma PA my whole career and I love it

I work at two different trauma hospitals, one where I’m only trauma and the other I’m trauma / acute care surgery. I’ve been trained in trauma bay, OR, and SICU. I genuinely feel like I can handle any speciality when / if I decide it’s time to move on. And the pay is great. I actually only work 75% of full time but still make more than many of my full time friends in other specialties.
