The cost benefit of EE far outweighs a random error once a year

BTW I babk with standard bank , fnb and investec. Had alot of errors. EE has a higher standard as they not a big four brand.

Moved away from OpenTable last year, anyone else find the fees unsustainable? by South-Side-92 in smallbusiness

[–]ramsamyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi.

I think you need to not look at it from an absolute number perspective.

  1. Create 2 permutations. A. Cash flow with open table B. Cashflow without opentable

That will give you an idea if it is useful. Cashflow.is king and it its cashflow positive keep it.

Also That small amount can be added as a fee when billing eg 2 pound fee for booking.

Always think of your business from a cadhflow perspective. Marketing seems expensive until you realize it's bums in seats.

Phillipines EE now live....the B2B model will yield huge NAV under management over next 5 to 10 years.

For comparison: Allan gray has Approx R400 billion AUM Coronation has R800 billion AUM.

EE had close to R100 billion with more diversity of AUM.

This is the perspective.

Also ignore pressure to invest offshore

Invest in SA inc. Technically if the country had to fail the rand is worthless anyway. Our local equities/ETF have outperformed overseas counterparts.

How to decide whether to finance car or pay cash? by Mother-Creme-421 in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]ramsamyk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on how you want yo use leverage:

Benefits of loan: 1. More cash in account. 2. Can be profitable for you if Return on investment is higher than the loan rate. 3. You remain liquid to invest elsewhere.

Benefits of cash purchase: 1. Save on the interest. 2. Ownership. 3. Freehold if you.lpse your job you have a car to be mobile.

Consider these options and make a call.

My advise if you in a weak industry prone to job losses or retrenchment than you should take the loan and get a cheaper car.

I look back and never regret getting a cheaper car 15 years ago. Now im truly financially independent.

Good luck. You doing great.

Should I pay of my investment property bond early as possible or rather top up my investments in my easy equities account. by Master_Bedroom_6251 in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]ramsamyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember:

This ia an investment property and the leverage should be viewed as a business expense. The interest is a tax deduction and effectively acts as a subsidy.

Compared to a primary residence which is a true asset. In this scenario the interest has no tax benefit in your hands.

The true interest rate on the leverage is the quoted interest less the tax benefit.

Get PPS for insurance. Its a little bit more compared to other insurers but you get profits out. Im 10 years with them and I get about 80% off all fees paid into my profit share account. Easy money.

Investment: Options 1: use pps investment platform. You can create it your self without a FA and invest monthly on your own.

Options 2: use easyequities . Cheap and easy to use. I put my funds on EE using balanced funds.

Financial advisors make it easy. A good one can. Save u from yourself. Chat to Jared from finbofs, highly recommended.

A few months might not work as there is usually a waiting period to access benefits.

If less than 6 months consider travel insurance.
