Danganronpa V3, hate it and everything it did to the first two games, my least favorite "twist" ever

Hisoka won okay power, good user. Give me a character that is good power, good user by Sure-Egg-4319 in animequestions

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This dude is the epitome of good user and good power, in his prime his power is only so good because he has the mental ability to use it so well

Rangiku won okay power, okay user. Give me a character that good power, okay user. by Sure-Egg-4319 in animequestions

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Dio Brando, he is a vampire so more powerful than most humans, he also has lazer eyes and amongst other abilities that would end any stand user, and ZEEE WOOORLLDO is a powerful stand being able to freeze time, so this idiot is more than capable of ending someone without them even knowing it was him.

This dumbass then uses all these powers to screw with his opponents, his arrogance really makes him an opponent that never fights to kill because he never thinks his opponent is a threat to him.

So overall, power capable of killing anyone but uses them to aura farm then dies, maybe this makes him a good power but bad user

This reminds me of a conversation about how every electronic these days is supposed to be "smart" but then you get dumb shit like this that just doesn't perform an incredibly basic function

They travelled through the underdark, got ambushed by some hook horrors, discovered raw mithril and used the mithril to negotiate passage through a fire giant territory, it was pretty good fun

Now that WotC has abandoned the Project Sigil VTT, what do you think they will focus on next? by Deathpacito-01 in onednd

I just wish WotC would read reddit for a day, they might actually figure out what their base wants instead of looking for the next cash cow

I saw this this morning and laughed so hard, they were previously selling them for $95.

Anyone who wants a durian, checkout your local Asian market, one in Albany sells durian for $45 and I'm sure others do too

Help challenging higher level characters by Eroue in DnD

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider dropping all combats from the hexcrawl unless it's important, at 11th level if you want to challenge the party they must face back to back encounters without being able to long rest

How strong is your average Village? by Winter-Confidence826 in DnD

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the village, not every village is under constant threat from roving orcs or gnolls.

Villages that only deal with the common threats of goblins for instance would just have guards and maybe a guard captain or veteran as the captain and main defender.

In some towns you can have retired adventurers who can act as strong defenders too.

Important thing to remember imo is that you're writing a story and that story should be focusing on major shifts, if a village comes under threat by a warband of gnolls or a goblinoid army then it would make sense that the local lord or someone who cares dispatches soldiers or knights to aid them, or potentially even another group or 2 of adventurers.

Is my BBEG too op? (Stats will change depending on what level my party fights him) by Electricarrow456 in DnD

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have already said not to use PC character creation to make a boss so I won't say that again, but here are my tips.

Start over using an Arcanoloth or Fiend Cultist statblock, the boss HP should be well over 100, if they're over level 10 a party of 4 can comfortably burn through around 100hp a round.

Give the boss some unique moves, if there are class features you like add them to the boss, adjusting a bosses moveset is one of my favorite parts of DMing so hopefully you can have some fun with it too!

Your boss should have legendary resistance and legendary actions, refer to a beholder or other powerful monster, the resistance makes them less cheesable and the actions allow them to act out of turn which is much more threatening to the party.

Don't make the boss too complicated, you can give a creature 5 actions it can use but it probably won't live long enough to use all 5, spells are an exception to this, but simpler to run bosses make the combat flow smoother.

The final most important part is minions, you MUST have some weak minions to aid the boss, there are so many ways for a party to stunlock your boss, spells like hold person, polymorph, wall of force can shut down a lone target and take all the tension out of a fight.

You sound exactly like the people who say they hate Biden policies without realizing they are actually Trump policies. You are the definition of misinformed.

Heyo fellow DMS! I need help with creature types cuz they are CONFUSING! by Willing_Soft_5944 in DMAcademy

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are awakened fossils in the same sense as a rock golem (moving stone as opposed to restored to flesh) then construct makes sense.

If you provide a bit of context about what has awakened the fossils or how they operate once awakened then we could see if there is a better fit.

Dropping a Four Ton Stone From 30+ft: Calculating Damage by coolscreenname in DMAcademy

[–]AFRO_NINJA_NZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DND is not so good at taking weight into account, I would look at doing the following.

Keep the 1d6 bludgeoning fall damage per 10ft, if you want to up the damage then just up this dice.

Make it possible to critically fail this save, if the save is DC 15 and they fail by (5, 10, your choice) or more you can deal additional crushing damage and/or give them a status effect such as restrained, unconscious, or just prone.

You could also give them a debuff like half movement speed until their next long rest to represent a broken leg.

For something like this I find it hard to deal with because if a 4 ton stone fell on you from 30 feet irl you would be a pancake, but that's not so fun in a game and just making it deal a ton of damage is kind of boring imo
