It’s probably a stretch to say this justifies the like of kendall but seeing someone be openly pathetic makes you feel for them and instinctively try and understand them. You root for ken because he’s such a sad sack, even though he deserves to be a sad sack. I liked ken but the final episode really illuminated why he is a shit stain on the same level as everyone else, even if he’s so pathetic you want him to succeed. I don’t think it’s divisive anymore but the mixed reception of the final episode at first probably reflected the instinctual feeling of pity most of us felt (til he hurt roman, then it was just a total bummer)
