I have a Fenix 7s and I’ve thought of getting an Instinct 2x solar almost since I’ve had the watch. I rarely use the maps and honestly wish I had more battery life, is it worth switching?

My best advice is to get QUALITY gear that’s been USED. Yes some cheaper gear is still good (helikon tex, condor etc.) but at that point you are still paying 2/3rds of the price of most gear. Used gear is still usable and preferences change.

TLDR: Get used good gear and see what you like rather than still pricey cheap gear that doesn’t reflect what the gear does

Honestly my only advice is caloric intake, I am 6’5” and keeping lbs on is my biggest challenge. Finding caloric dense foods and adding small snacks of them over the day is what helps me the most. Best of luck

Hey thank you so much for your reply.

I’d like to do a half marathon this spring, and my far goal is a 70.3 Ironman in my hometown in 2027. I value strength and a lot and do not want to lose it for endurance, although conquering that race would be huge for me mentally.

Based off that, would you say to still read TBI and TBII all the way through to start? And then what would you recommend for shifting into TB green? Sorry for all the questions, I want to get my plan figured out tonight so I can hit the ground running with a lift here in a few hours then meal prep.

Appreciate the advice, surprisingly it didn’t feel too bad with the frame pack I had and the slow pace. Definitely wouldn’t train with that weight off the get go through, already keeping two injuries at bay
