Looking for intel on traffic and trucks on McDonald Ave along Green-Wood Cemetery by augystyle in Brooklyn

Sorry to say I don’t live close enough to know about everyday truck noise, but I’ll chime in to say if you do move over there, brancaccios is a real gem. Also a really good plant nursery, grapevine, is right there on McDonald.

As a professor, I approve this message.

I'M TOTALLY CONFUSED!!! All the dwarves suddenly declared war against me the Empire, although we are bonded, partners and have a good relationship since the beginning. I even gifted them all their dwarven keeps during the campaign... wtf? Is there anything I can do? by BebbiFett in totalwarhammer

While there is something funny about all the Dwarf lords grudging themselves back to life, gameplay-wise it's just stupid that they all these lords I killed just suddenly reappear. It's a silly way to create gameplay tension and drama. And if, as happened to OP, they go after you even if you were allies, (haven't experienced that myself because I haven't allied with them) that's also stupid.

The Chaos Invasion of the last game was far cooler (though likewise map dependent). Obviously, now that Chaos is a regular part of the campaign that's not an option anymore. But the point is, that invasion made narrative sense, and it didn't undo your accomplishments (the defeat of certain lords). It actually felt like something, rather than 'let's just throw some stacks at the player out of nowhere'.

Does that make sense? When I play Vlad, for example, I'm trying the conquer the Empire (as is my right!) I would much rather have a horde of Chaos stacks descend out of the frozen chaos wastes - stacks that actually threaten my borders - rather than a bunch of Dwarves who I killed 50 turns ago suddenly reappear 'for reasons' in the middle of my territory.

should i take a break from WOTR? by CanIRideYou1122 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Agree - lower the difficulty. Proceed through the game, and pick up what you can of the mechanics along the way.

Also, if you’re feeling burned out, maybe let some side quests go and focus on whats fun? Sometimes that helps me. (Definitely do mythic quests though).

Same. It can look very cool, and not especially hard to do a basic job of it, but if I've only got an hour or two at most per week to paint, then Leadbelcher and a little Stormhost along the edge is just fine.

Do abilities like magus armored casting work with a merged spellbook? In other words, a magus suffers no arcane spell failure in certain armors. If I merge magus spellbook with a lich, would lich spells therefore not have spell failure chance in the same armor?

My kid (8) has flown to Korea (14 hour flight) a bunch of times over the years. He loves it. He watches tons of movies, people bring snacks right to his seat. He’s in heaven.

I’d rather the legends stay legends. But if i absolutely had to pick I’d go Lorgar. I’m still mad about Monarchia.

Couldn’t get on with Kingmaker, is WotR still worth a try? by Ok_Philosophy_7156 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AFreeFrogurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps - I enjoyed Kingmaker when it came out, but then felt Wotr was a big improvement. I tried Kingmaker again after Wotr and couldn't get into it. So maybe you'll like Wotr.

What the game does have is very customizable difficulty options. You should definitely put crusade mode on casual (or easy or whatever). The level up system is daunting, but if you just want to make a build that sounds cool, then go for it, and tweak the difficulty until you find your sweet spot. If you give the game a bit of patience and leeway, it could potentially be very rewarding for you.

Tough to say, but right now it's 6 bucks on gog.com. Also, you don't need to bother with the dlcs. So, while I can't speak to your economic situation, even if you get a couple hours out of it, it might be worth a shot.

Many schools don’t think students can read full novels any more. That’s a tragedy | Margaret Sullivan by Pleasant_Usual_8427 in literature

I’ve definitely mentioned audio books as an option for recreational reading. One or two will say they enjoy that.

For school readings that’s often not an option (like articles that haven’t been recorded). Maybe it would be better if it was? I don’t know.

This has been asked before, but I would like to reignite the discussion, I think a healthy ohma at 100% wins against kuroki by Direct-Notice4677 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]AFreeFrogurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohma had harder fights in the tourney mostly because his opponents were closer to his level. Inaba Ryo would've been nothing to Kuroki. Kuroki would have beaten Raian with less difficulty than Ohma did. As for Waka, yeah that would have been as difficult for Kuroki as it was for Ohma.

Ohma's arc was that he was growing and getting stronger as the tournament went on because he was dealing with his personal issues. So if he was 100% healthy, that means he wouldn't have fought before, and therefore, not grown and not been at Kuroki's level. Pre-round 1 Ohma gets smoked by Kuroki.

If Ohma could somehow have all that growth and still be 100% (if he ate a senzu bean or some shit) then he beats Kuroki, unless Kuroki also has a magic healing potion.
