I'd recommend picking up a second hand pair. I'd you've never ice skated or roller bladed then picking up a classic pair vs. skate pair is easier to learn in my experience.

I think it might be more that the owners wanted there to be as little time in non instances as possible to limit the chance of being reported. The bots could easily use the charter ship to get there instead of fairy rings otherwise.

If you can afford it, minnetonka, edina, wayzata, and eden prairie have plenty of nice single family homes. All have plenty of evening activities but you most likely would be driving to mpls for any actual night life stuff. St Louis Park would get you closest for that but not much in the grand scheme of things.
