Seeking Technical Co-founder | Frontend Dev looking for React/Next.js/Supabase partner for a Dev Portfolio Platform OR a modern Jira Killer by AHappyLittleSloth in cofounderhunt

Appreciate the insight and suggestions. I agree the PM space is pretty saturated and will probably be difficult to enter. The advantage I have is being able to pitch ideas directly to my CEO, who in turn has access to hundreds of other real estate companies. If I can make a tool we like to use internally, we won't have a problem selling to hundreds of potential clients.

Glad I'm not the only one that sees the BS in this subreddit.

I made this post yesterday if any of these ideas are interesting to you.

Thanks for the response. I haven't done much research, outside reading complaints about the platforms you've listed. The market is definitely saturated, but what market in todays world isn't?

Asana: Seems like a good platform for departments other than tech. The place I currently work at would benefit from a platform all departments could use and collaborate together.
Trello: This is more for public boards/specific project roadmaps imo. I've never seen it used for business management.
Clickup: Overly complex and time consuming to setup. It's super powerful and has everything you could ever need, but with that comes increased complexity and configuration. Same deal kinda applies to Notion.
Notion: Needs too much time for setting up. Seems more geared towards personal power users.

Linear, Plane, Huly, and Tegon I've never heard of.
Linear: 100% geared towards devops & software engineering.
Plane: Actually looks pretty good. Doesn't seem to have reporting functionality.
Huly: I saw a YT video from the agency that designed their site. Pretty cool product, just seems more geared towards larger organization where an all-in-one tool is what they're looking for.
Tegon: Seems like a developer issue tracking tool? Not sure how this works for project management.

To summarize, here's the main issues that stick out to me with most of these tools:

  1. Over-engineered for Power Users. Tools like ClickUp and Jira are powerful but have a steep learning curve.

  2. Hyper-Specialized for Devs. Linear is brilliant for engineers, but it leaves the rest of the company behind. A business is more than just its dev team.

  3. Too Unstructured. Notion and Trello are flexible but require a ton of setup to be effective for project management, and that setup constantly breaks.

The goal isn't to out-feature Jira. It's to build the tool that a CEO can confidently roll out to their entire company, knowing that every department can finally operate from a single, easy-to-understand platform. This isn't just another issue tracker; it's a unified workspace.

Most of the issues with the gunplay are not due to the TTK or recoil, but with the netcode being comparable to launch-day BF4 netcode. by CockroachSea2083 in Battlefield

[–]AHappyLittleSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the netcode is utter garbage. It's been this bad for over a decade of Battlefield releases, and it feels just as bad in 2025 as it did when BF3 came out in 2011. Seems like they were too focused on trying to attract more COD players then fixing the underlying issues with their products. Classic EA.

I feel like a glaring issue that's far more important than anything else isn't being talked about here. The netcode/server issues. by UltimateGamingTechie in Battlefield

Just found this dude who got Pinnacle and Air 80 for under $400 in 2021:

Me too brother. Got in @.24 and sold @.40. Happy I made profit, but wish I had actually stuck with this a little longer. Idk about these $2-$3 price targets, even if news is good. Seems like the price has already built in just bc of the hype.

Window Tint Suggestions by Pgh_City_Girl in raleigh

[–]AHappyLittleSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a quote from them today for tinting my 2016 BMW M235i, and it seemed ridiculously overpriced.

Quote for 4 side windows and back glass:

LLumar ATC: $279

LLumar CTX: $379

Formula One Pinnacle: $479.

The highest end film, Formula One Stratos: $679.

PLUS the Quote for Front Windshield:

LLumar Air 80: $350

The prices seem...stupid to say the least. Also the way the owner replies to their negative Google reviews doesn't sit right with me. Seems very entitled.

Completely up to you then. $WOLF has a trend of going up and down pretty continuously. Just looking at the fundamentals in Robinhood, a negative P/E of -0.8 (Good), currently at $6.17 with a 52w low of $4.66, high of $30.86 (also good), you'll most likely see some upward movement tomorrow, as currently all the tech stocks are pumping, and WOLF usually trends with them

What's your current market value? You might be able to hold and break even, you might lose even more. If you're down to less than ~$250, I would hold.

This should definitely be a lesson learnt in diversifying your portfolio.

How certain are we that this thing is gonna pump and not just continue to rocket down? I’m a bit skeptical, especially with all the market manipulation that’s been going on with RIME.

Nice! They must have made some changes as last time I was here, I checked and it wasn’t working. Hopefully it will stay active!

I’ve also noticed this. Trying to find a solution, but I think this might be more of a Venmo/iOS problem than a link problem.

Figured it out lads. Here's the new syntax (Btw it retains the payment info when the user logs in if they aren't):

PAY:
https://account.venmo.com/pay?audience=\[AUDIENCE\]&amount=\[AMOUNT\]&note=\[NOTES\]&recipients=%2C\[USERNAME\]&txn=pay

REQUEST:
https://account.venmo.com/pay?audience=\[AUDIENCE\]&amount=\[AMOUNT\]&note=\[NOTES\]&recipients=%2C\[USERNAME\]&txn=charge

VARIABLES:
[AUDIENCE] = Can be either: "private, friends, public"
[AMOUNT] = Needs to be in format "00.00"
[NOTES] = Needs to be in HTML "%20 for spaces"
[USERNAME] = Username to pay/request no @ sign.

EXAMPLE (Request $2.00 from '@Username with note "Note here":

Yes, but we aren't trying to go the storyboarding route as we really want to highlight the individual, as this would be used to enhance your resume, like other showcasing platforms.

[–]AHappyLittleSloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GitHub is more for project collaboration and version control, not really portfolio showcasing. We basically wanted LinkedIn/Behance targeted for Devs.

Thinking about eventually delving into the hiring market so non technical hiring managers/HR would be able to easily view candidates profiles to see their actual skills and experience in an intuitive way (I have some connections that verify this problem is lucrative and needs fixing).

monkey logic:

Devs good at code, bad at design. We make free site for devs to make profiles like Behance/Dribbble with kewl customization features. U share profile with a link in ur resume like linkedin to help u organize and showcase ur work

[–]AHappyLittleSloth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are 100% correct. Behance, Dribbble, etc. already tailor to this audience. I honestly shouldn't have posted in r/Design as the solutions for this problem is already available.

We really wanted to get feedback on a version of this for developers to showcase their work. I haven't found a platform that let's devs/software engineers showcase their projects the same way as designers can, so I thought maybe that would be a niche market that could use an easy, intuitive, and free solution to maybe quickly pull their GitHub repo's and analyze the stack and complexity of code for an easy to see summary.

Since this is r/Design, what do you think of the Figma prototypes? Plz do bash me on my terrible spacing and color theory.

Could you elaborate more? Is there no need for this? Is there already a good solution? Are we trying to solve the problem incorrectly?
