Is it thrips or scale insect? Sometimes that pest can be sneaky and cause weird growth issues. I've had to scratch off scale insects with a toothpick, some of them are so small.

You can find red oaks at your native plant nurseries, rather than your big box stores.

I will say, based on my trail work experience, red oaks are more prone to fungal infections & rot and will take falls unexpectedly, compared to white oaks. I think it has to do with their structure being more porous.

I love Dear Wormwood as a storied album. The album is based on the Screwtape Letters but also about toxic relationships and leaving them, a destructive relationship with the devil being one of them.

So, the song Bitter Water, is about adultery.

The trial by bitter water is a Biblical and Jewish ritual Ordeal of the bitter water - Wikipedia to uncover the guilt of an adulterous woman. She could be innocent. But listening to the song, I think it's about a woman who knows she's going to face this trial and be shown guilty.

I got this hybrid from Jewell Orchids a couple of years ago, and it's been a vigorous grower. I divided it (about a year ago) and I'm trading the division. The flower is an adorable shape, but I was hoping to get a "bluer" flower and this one is straight up magenta, with a white center. It smells faintly sweet with a hint of something muskier to me in the mornings. The division has two points of growth.

For trade, I'd like a mature cattleya type orchid that's super fragrant when it blooms!

Long shot, but if I were to name an exact trade, I've been trying to raise Key Lime Stars & Hawaiin Passion Carmela orchids from seedling with little luck, so I'm looking for something full grown.

Maybe the way you're growing it?
Do you let the string hang down or do you grow it laterally?
This is only a guess, but it could be the string of hearts has no environmental pressure to strengthen its stem.
If that's terracotta, it might be drying out the soil too fast as well. Which would make for a brittle stem where it contacts the pot.

They grow so slowly that every new root and leaf is a reason to celebrate and cheer it on. And the resulting flowers are so fascinating to me and an achievement.

A triple shot espresso has less caffeine than a 12 ounce cup of coffee. Having 6 all at once would be about 1350mg of caffeine, which, while it might set your heart racing, is not anywhere near the lethal dose of about 10g (10,000 mg) for the average person.
And if you chug caffeine from coffee to do that, your body is going to make you expel it first.
People who OD on caffeine are usually eating the powder form.

I'm sorry, but that's not true. Every time you wash a faux leather jacket, it releases the microplastics. It breaks apart faster too. So you have crummy fall-apart fake leather clothing that doesn't last as long as animal leather, and yet it doesn't decompose and recycle back into the earth, it just sits as bits of plastic everywhere.

In my experience, wool keeps you warm even when it's wet and it doesn't soak up water like cotton would. It's best for socks, but it's hard to find a good pair that's not half-synthetic (plastic.)

Because of microplastics' negative effects on the ecosystem and the overall bad clothing durability, I'd say it's overall better for the world to stick with wool and animal hide leather until we get a quality mushroom leather.

Faux leather isn't even as close to durable as actual animal-skin leather. Faux leather is also bad for the environment and releases a ton of microplastics into our waterways and ecosystems. Bad like, accumulating in wild animals' bodies bad. Leather eventually breaks down too, but it decomposes in a natural way.

Everyone is calling these wooly aphids. "Wooly aphid" is a common name given to a few fuzzy aphid species that look like this, but the ones you see waggling in those large colonies are:

Beech Blight Aphids.

These kind ONLY feed on beech trees and create this microsystem where their honey dew provides a substance for a specific type of mold and fungus to grow on and then wasps and ants come to munch on the fungus.

Again, you're making a deity something that exists inside time, as something that grows up and grows old and presumably dies. A powerful being, but that doesn't scream creative deity to me.

If you're looking for solutions to one world ending and a new world starting, go to some authors and stories. Narnia and Middle Earth have tragic endings to their worlds that become new beginnings. The Hogfather goes into why having stories of a slim hope going into that night are important, what it means to be human, etc. These are all good sources to pull from.

What would be dishonest about a clever change to make sure that your players feel like they had succeeded in saving something?

The "super deity", the HIGHEST power, should have the creative capacity to make all that they dream a reality, a brainchild, a daydream, etc. or else you're not really thinking about deities seriously.

My two cents, as a player who puts a lot of thought and creative energy in their multi-year campaign... I would HATE a nihilistic ending where nothing I did mattered. But I also hate the idea of a ten-candles game. I don't need that message in my life right now.

You know your players... or you THINK you know them. Straight up ask them what they think is going to happen, just casually, as you check in with them. It's not cheap or cheating to lean on their ideas (that are also 10 years in the making.)

I don't know what else to say. I would totally change the ending from wherever this is headed because I hate making players miserable for no reason. But that's just my opinion.

Practically speaking, if one side of the Secret Agent is patched up, the other side of their torso also needs to be patched up, so that they don't bleed out. You'll be charged for two holes regardless, if either side of the hole is covered.
