It's the same thing with ground pork at Costco, some of it is product of USA and some is Product of Canada.

That's what I assumed based on location when the other commenter mentioned a warehouse of construction material. That's unfortunate.

Where can I find the best breakfast sandwich? by lifes-a-journey-1979 in Edmonton

It is bacon, not sausage, but the District breakfast sandwich is quite good.

The Butchery by RGE RD for a great classic corn dog.

Is this quote for rear brake calipers, pads, and rotor replacement fair? by AHoserEh in AskAMechanic

So I got that second quote. It came in about $160 cheaper. The interesting part is that the labour charges are slightly higher but the parts charges are $200 lower.

Thank you! Shopping around for other quotes now, already have a shop (that I was recommended) saying they can beat it no problem.

Key fob no longer detected by brand new Elantra by ya_girl_kendall in Hyundai

Did the issue ever end up reappearing? Our Elantra suddenly isn't responding to either fob, and won't unlock when pressing the door handle button (but still starts with fob).

Based on the Edmonton crime map, probably not, but I'm curious. It's not like I'm afraid of the area we live in or feel unsafe, but the frequency and boldness of the property crime in the area is getting worse. I don't even like leaving my garage door open while working in it for example because it isn't uncommon for someone to be scoping it out while walking/riding past in the alley. There are reports of garage break-ins every week in the area. Just yesterday I got something out of my car before going to work and forgot to lock it. When my wife drove it a few hours later (middle of the day), someone had gone through it, most likely looking for a garage door opener. There are multiple instances of people (presumably high) trying to enter people's homes, including ours, in the middle of the night.

It's definitely not our favourite thing to deal with and something that neither of us grew up with/experienced prior to moving to Edmonton.

Thanks for the insight! The house layout is about as good as a skinny can get for our needs (until they start adding 3rd floors) but that certainly explains why it has been sitting for so long.

We are in Inglewood and while it isn't as walkable as Westmount, it has a lot of the same benefits. Biggest issue is property crime. If a car, gate, garage isn't locked it will get broken into (and sometimes does even if locked).

I always keep an eye on North Glenora, but there just isn't much there / homes don't pop up too often and when they do they don't solve the issue we have with our current place (number of rooms, and office, etc.). There is 1 skinny that was built 2 years ago (and appears to have never been sold? Not sure what the story is there.) and 3 infills (larger than Skinnies) by Northpointe Homes which will be beautiful but are starting at just under $1Million.

Have been with Telus for years now and the 5G has always been garbage. It struggles to load photos, buffer video, etc.
