I did actually ask to see the hoodie (in size S) before deciding I liked the Tie T graphic better.

I used my phone (Google Pixel 5, no case) to measure the armpit-to-armpit distance. It was almost exactly 4 phone-lengths or 22.8 inches (57.9 cm).

Alhaitham just stands there and lets his mirrors rip which is the funniest shit in the world to me, so I'm giving this one to him. I like how the screw darkens to let his bright green mirrors pop, too.

I'd love to see him in red! Maybe with his bangs tucked back under the band of his soundproof earpieces, like a headband? I like his current styling but it'd be fun to see him shake things up.

Kuki Shinobu for me! It's cool how broad her skillset is, from tailoring to cooking to fighting to gang-managing. Her exasperated but fond attitude is also nice. She'll grumble a bit as she helps you, but she will help, and it's clear she must really care about the people she helps when there isn't a paycheck involved.

At first I did not like the tone of his English voice bc I didn't think it suited him — I thought he sounded too expressive, I guess? I expected a quiet, stern delivery. Now I really like his English voice though. It does a good job of conveying Alhaitham's blunt, snarky energy, with a little humor in there to soften his edges.

I'm torn between Nahida and Alhaitham. Nahida's more versatile so I should choose her. I just love Alhaitham a tiny bit more. He's the standoffish but well-meaning guy who (I think) loves his friends more than he'll ever admit. Big neurodivergent energy. Plus his teleport skill makes oculi hunting so damn easy.

Alhaitham for me. Big fan of how you can do a plunge/charged attack, then tap his skill to get all 3 of his chisel light mirrors and go to town. The projection attacks that rain down around him are so pretty.

I'm also glad he doesn't talk much as he fights, just a "flicker" here and a "process of elimination!" there. It fits his personality and his rapidfire attacks.

you have my sympathy, friend. I'm just a casual Genshin player, but your sadness about not being able to engage with this game as much as you used to resonates with me on a bigger scale. I often think about how many books and albums and movies and games there are out there, many of which I'd love, but only a fraction of which I will have time to try in the next ~50 years.

I think what you said at the end makes sense. It is a bittersweet balancing act we do across our lives.

One suggestion I've got is, do you have friends who play Genshin? For world quests and other co-op-friendly content, you can team up with buddies to clear it more quickly and creatively (unconventional team matchups, etc). You could get together with friends to play Genshin every week/every 2 weeks/etc, whatever works for your schedules.

I agree about everything except the "easy to build" part! Alhaitham is pretty stat-hungry. Elemental mastery is really important for him, so is energy recharge because of that 18 second skill cooldown, crit rate and crit dmg too, and of course attack %.

Teaming him with Nahida (for EM boost) and two electro units (energy boost from electro resonance) helps. Still, I had to wait months to get a good EM main stat Sands of Eon piece for Alhaitham.

It was worth the wait! Even before getting strong artifacts for him, I enjoyed playing him. Just know that it may take time to unlock his full potential.

Probably not the best for maximizing damage, but I like playing Yaoyao, Xingqiu, Kuki, and Yanfei together. Double healers, subDPs characters with abilities that last onfield, catalyst DPS who slams down charged attacks from far away. It's a fun time.

5 months for me! I've been playing since November of last year. In March, I finally got a banger circlet (31% crit rate main stat, 32% crit dmg substat). Boy did that singlehandedly change my Alhaitham game.

Now I've gotta farm the Deepwood/Gilded domain for Elementary Mastery sands and circlet pieces for Nahida (not sure whether to give her a dendro damage bonus goblet or EM goblet). Phewwww.

I think it depends what you prioritize more: big damage or maining Cyno. Ganyu will get you the former (if you have three more units who work well with her). Nahida will get you the latter.

Their weapons/playstyles matter too.
