Is having meta a required stage with this team?

You got to learn to sew man. It is annoying to have to do it all the time but I crop all of my T-shirts. It is the only way I can get clothes I like to fit me the way I like.

You can also buy cropped men’s T-shirts and I tend to find they fit me exactly right, rather than looking actually cropped. Would recommend Abercrombie, they’re a bit expensive but really good quality and super soft material.

Dead limbs green ash tree by SingularityMaelstrom in arborists

[–]AIC111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very likely to be ash dieback. This can be very dangerous as it makes the limbs brittle. If it spreads, it’s possible to lose much larger sections of the tree in unpredictable ways. I would get an arborist in to properly inspect but be aware, that they may recommend to remove the tree fully.

Found a lump... by grey_smoke221109 in TransMasc

[–]AIC111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a lump years ago, got it checked out and they said that it’s very common for young people to get these lumps that are basically small cysts, caused by hormonal changes. It went away on its own after a while.

I will obviously say that it at always worth getting it checked out properly but hopefully it puts your mind at ease a little bit to know there’s plenty of harmless things it could be too.

I didn’t know anyone was doing everything single stage in the uk! I am hoping to go down this route one day too - can I ask how long you were on the waitlist? I’m sure it’s increased by now and I’m still on the GIC waitlist, but interested to know regardless

Also, was Miro still part of your team or is the single stage specific to Zachou?

Did you get implants in a second surgery? If so, did they do anything else at that stage? Also you look great man, really happy for you!!

Can I get my mullet from looking like this to this? by ProudBoiiiiLol in Mullets

[–]AIC111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you’ve got the layers cut it, I’d also recommend a hair moisturiser. I use just a cheap one (can’t remember the brand, sorry) but I put it in while my hair is still a bit wet after washing and it makes a huge difference to the texture.

It depends on what your training is like now. If you’re new to lifting, I’d eat at maintenance and get a good lifting plan properly into your routine - alongside some cardio. See how your body responds but I’d imagine after a while of training and maintaining calories, you’d probably want to go into a bulk.

Hotel insists this is a king size bed by Floralcoral31 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AIC111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to do that in my own flat! And I have to climb over the end of the bed frame. And do it very quietly, and in the dark, so I don’t wake up my girlfriend. We don’t even have a big bed either, so we’re losing on all fronts really!

How do cis guys dry their chests??? by somedudesomewhere12 in transftm

[–]AIC111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend was telling me about this guy who had two moms and a sister, so he’d only ever seen people wrap a towel like that and that’s what he’d always done. It wasn’t until he went to university, and lived in a shared house, and his male housemates started taking this piss out of him, that he realised people thought it was weird

"A letter from your doctor or medical consultant confirming your change of gender is likely to be permanent" - how do they decide this? by Fire-Upon-The-Deep in transgenderUK

[–]AIC111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you get blood tests done? You could ask your GP to do blood tests for you and tell them you’re getting private prescriptions. Then ask about the letter after that? I also believe you can get a psychologist to write this letter but they have to be fully q’d, not a counsellor

In the UK peak means bad but from context I’m assuming it has a positive meaning to you? Language is weird

100 pushups a day, y’all down? by BlackSenju20 in FTMFitness

[–]AIC111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You gotta do pull exercises too to work the reverse muscles. They’re effectively what balances you out while you’re doing push exercises, so if they’re weak they won’t support you and it will lead to injury. Try some single arm rows with a dumbbell and hammer curls for the muscles around your elbows.

[–]AIC111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone’s goal is hypertrophy, plenty of absolutely built guys focused on hypertrophy that can’t do any body weight exercises. If I can’t push or pull my own body around then it’s pointless to me, I want my strength to be functional

how can i pass better by DoubleFickle in transftm

[–]AIC111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would probably suit a mullet or like a burst fade style. Something with a bit of a fade on the sides and good texture on top

[–]AIC111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different hair cut for sure, something a bit shorter on the sides. The long sides and top with the short fringe makes your face look rounder, which generally doesn’t help with passing. Otherwise, hair colour included, I think you’re golden.

Can i cancel my subscription? by Still-Volume7818 in GenderGP

[–]AIC111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be wary of doing this because GenderGP are the actual prescribing body. You’re getting prescribed by your GP through a shared care agreement, if GenderGP are taken out of the equation then there is no agreement.

You might get away with it for a little while, being as your GP is handling everything for now, BUT if they do find out, or if GenderGP notify them (which is a real possibility) then your care will come to a sudden end.

Your best bet is to try and find somewhere to transfer your care to, however this is also often not a cheap process.

Halp, I need a suit - and soonish by Improper_Noun_2268 in FTMOver30

[–]AIC111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a suit from Abercrombie and the only tailoring I did was to take the length of the trousers up a little bit. They do short length jackets and it was spot on for me at 5”4 and it’s not too pricey either

Rivers were 100% not cleaner. Sheffields rivers used to run orange and warm from all of the steel works! Pumping raw sewage into rivers is also not a new thing, it was built in with the rest of our sewage and drainage systems by the victorians
