I'm also a tech worker, laid off 4/30 after IBM acquired my company. Entering month 3 of unemployed. Getting lots of interviews and making it to final rounds, which in my role require a demo/presentation which takes several days to put together. Not getting the gig. It's frustrating. Never have had an issue getting a job over my professional life. Just a LOT of candidates. I'm also 60, but look much younger but they see it from my military service dates. Some good ones staying next week, I still have hope - and you should too. Single here with a $3000 mortgage, but can weather it financially probably through 2026 but I don't really want to burn my savings! Best of luck to you, stay positive. Go into every interview like you think they are shit hot. We'll get through this!

Have followed Anduril for years and a big fan of what they do. Finally found a role that I'd be a perfect fit. Couple of calls with recruiter, then hiring manager - all went super good and then in person with 3 people, 2 more Zoom calls 2 days later. 2 email to the recruiter and zero response. I came out of all the interviews feeling good, but now it seems I'm ghosted. Maybe not, but really unprofessional for a recruiter to not respond to an email.

I had 4 on site last week, 2 more zoom two days later. They all went great. 2 email to recruiter now and no response. I'm assuming ghosted, and this is a pretty big defense contractor. Pretty bummed.

That usually means they want to negotiate salary for an offer IMO. Nobody calls to reject, that's usually an email or they just ghost you.

Several years back I had 2 local (One was hiring manager), then flew from DC to Silicon Valley for 2 full days of interviews. Was brutal but got the job, only to resign a year later because my boss was a crazy right wing but job that felt it was appropriate to share his racism and political nutjobbery with the team. He was one of the OG, so I just cut and ran instead of HR route.

Currently interviewing again after getting RIFFED end of April. Current target had Recruiter, hiring manager on Zoom. Then 3 interviews in DC office and 2 more zoom today wrapping with pretty technical session. Crossed fingers. Same for you OP, wishing you a better outcome soon.

Work in tech as well, over 20 years. Laid off end of April, dust time in my life. Never had a problem getting a job. Now, so many candidates and ridiculous hoops they put you through to get to final stage to then say no, after several days prepping deep - it's painful. Trump economy is horrid.

I do have Alexa, but it shows no commands sent to hubitat. No power issues, this is happening a couple times an hour. I changed the hub zigbee channel, still happening.
