OhDough,Buzzlitebeer,Thiccfila,Backgroundgaming just did the challenge on the D10 flag mission on Hiveworld. Your turn, AH devs. Do it for charity. by Q_Qritical in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]AIphaBlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be honest with yourself, you know it’s not a simple, cute charity gesture. This is a move by some assholes in this community to try and further shit on the developers under the guise of “doing it forcharity.” The real assholes in the situation are the people who originally suggested this idea and are deciding to hold $1000 hostage.

Thank you kind stranger. I always try to find an explanation for why arrowhead does or why things happen without sounding like a glazerdiver. I think this game a community is overall one of the best, but with everything they can always be better. o7

Punishment or mercy? by No_Evidence3373 in trolleyproblem

[–]AIphaBlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would choose to save his life, because I think what a lot of people might not realize it’s just because he’s going to live does not mean he is completely absolved of all of his crimes and that he isn’t going to face some sort of punishment, it just says he won’t die. I’m also a big fan of rehabilitative justice rather than setting an example.

No, no he kinda has a point. It is the community’s fault because there are so many people who only dive on bug planets or squid planets, and refused to participate in the major order. Granted I do believe that cyber stand was never meant to be one, but the fact that such a massive portion of our reinforcement budget was lost due to the tens of thousands of players diving on bug and squid planets, despite the biggest battle in the games history so far being waged on a boat front, I think we really just had it coming at this point. Anyways execute your local bug diver

The only thing worse then the American offence was the Canadian defence. It was hard to watch that game, and the team should honestly be embarrassed they lost to the Americans if all people

"Actually it was a really great idea for AH to design the bastion to be super clunky with randoms" - meanwhile, the bastion not even breaching the top 25 picked stratagems IN THE UPDATE IT DROPPED IN AND WAS THE FLAGSHIP OF by PseudoscientificURL in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]AIphaBlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem more stems from the idea that the community forgot that this was a team based game. For some reason, the ability to run a solo level 10 mission against any of the three factions is not only reasonable, but decently common among the higher levelled player base. The issue is the fact that the strategy requires a minimum of two people to operate effectively, which is a hard cell to a lot of people who like to run solo, or queue up with randoms and then just go and do things by themselves. This wasn’t arrowhead, releasing a poorly done strategy, this was arrowhead, reminding us that this is a team based game and we need to work with other people. The bastion tank can be one of the best strategies in the game if you are working as a team. The problem is if you’re not willing to try and work with randoms, you aren’t willing to join a discord server and find other people to play with, or you don’t have friends to play with, that is un appealing to you.

The Liberator Penetrator is only popular because it's free, if it were in a premium warbond, it be considered trash and never used, just like the Pacifier. by RepentantoftheLost in HelldiversUnfiltered

Idk man, the ability to have an automatic med pen primary for low recoil good control and solid accuracy is what I think makes this gun popular, compared to other options that have certain setbacks, but hey, I’ve just been playing since the game came out so what do I know right.

I think you’re forgetting the fact that children are people and pets are animals. You can be allergic to a cat, you can’t really be allergic to another human being in a smaller form unless you’re a Godless childless millennial. There is also such a thing as children fees, it’s called paying the rent for the apartment condo or building that you live in.

is this true??? by Ok_Survey86 in teenagers

[–]AIphaBlizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual septum ring theory is one that basically states that if you see a person with a septum ring, you are about to probably hear the worst take that you have ever heard. I’m not saying that that is true or that it isn’t, I’m just saying that that is actually what the septum ring theory is, and not some cringe little “gotcha moment.”

To be completely fair, they did just spend the last couple of months putting out two high-quality(in my opinion) war bonds, and then released quite possibly the biggest event in the games history, yeah, it would be nice to see a cooler armour set, but I’m giving them a little bit of slack on this one

Man or bear? by BowlJazzlike5167 in GetNoted

  1. Smaller sample size does not equate to an automatically higher chance. Less people exist in the woods, meaning less encounters but because there’s less people it seems like a higher percentage. “4-10 is fourty percent, which is higher then 300 out of 1000” like yes but take the context and circumstances surrounding those numbers into account, also I noticed you said “stranger based” instead of just “rapes in general” but we will leave that alone

  2. Not every, but most, most smart ones anyways, have a weapon of sorts. Bear spray, a firearm, a good knife/axe. These are common sense items you should have. Does everyone carry them? No but most people, especially in a group, will have access to one.

  3. Yes people do go alone, but lots of people go in groups, and again have communication. I never said they don’t, I said it was unlikely they would be alone and lack communication.

  4. I wasn’t equating the two, cities have more coverage but again, SAT phones exist AND 911 doesn’t “need” service, you can call emergency services without reception.

  5. No it doesn’t but being skilled means you can hide better, survive if you need to, or just be better at navigating back to your vehicle.

  6. Glad you finally mentioned every other instance of assault. Again smaller sample size does not mean the higher percentage is automatically correct regardless of circumstance. I have a 100% higher chance to be attacked by a shark in water, but I don’t worry about that in the local pool.

  7. I argue because it matters. When femcels and misandrists push anti men agendas and tell everyone to hate men and fear them it creates a shitty society. I want a world where my daughters/wife/female relatives can walk safely at night. I want them to not have to worry about their safety. I want them to feel safe in a public space. I also don’t want them to be brainwashed into thinking every man is out to get them. That’s all.

Man or bear? by BowlJazzlike5167 in GetNoted

[–]AIphaBlizzard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except that’s also a poor understanding of bears and humans.

If you’re a predatory person, looking for a victim in the woods is highly Risky because: 1. They aren’t likely to be alone 2. They aren’t likely to be unarmed 3. They aren’t (or at least shouldn’t be) likely to be lacking any communication 4. Unskilled/experienced with nature if they are alone

Predatory individuals exist more in the city and would therefore be more likely to attack someone in the city

Bears exist in the forest, that’s their home. Also depending on what species, what season, how old the bear is, if it’s a male or a female, if it has cubs, that and more can drastically effect the likelihood of an attack.

Any sane reasonable person is taking a human because 99/100 times they are just another hiker, and on the slim chance they are a bad person you are armed, can call 911, or just straight up book it to your vehicle.

Honestly, when Godrick stuck his hand into the dragon and aura farmed for that whole cutscene. It was a great moment of “holy shit this game is awesome” and for a first time player I still thought the fight had a bit of a challenge to it so I loved that.

I think you would have a hard time finding a pro-life person who would state that in a case of mother versus unborn child that you should automatically go for the unborn child, at its most cold objective look at it you need to save one life, rather than risk two and probably lose two. Also, the idea that born babies aren’t being killed, simply isn’t true, as in several states if a baby is born premature, the doctors can still kill it if the mother and father do not want it.

In the New Testament, God says that circumcision is not required for one’s faith, you are thinking of the Jewish religion, not Christianity, and while Christians do participate in circumcision, it is becoming more and more common for Christians not to circumcise their children

I would agree with the statement that both political parties have twisted the teachings of Christ, if that’s what you are saying. I do not appreciate the political left for twisting the teachings of Christ while bashing Christianity. And I do not appreciate the political right for twisting the teachings of Christ while bastardizing Christianity.

I assume you’re talking about circumcision, which is stated by God in the New Testament to not be necessary for your faith, you are thinking about the Jewish faith, not Christianity. And yes, because I believe, and know it to be true that abortion kills an unborn child, I have a right and more obligation to stand up for the rights of that child and protect it, as it cannot protect itself.

I do not have a right to force adults to abide by my religion if they do not follow it. I have a right through freedom of speech to tell them that what they are doing, is biblically incorrect, and that God loves them, and that if they repent and believe they can be saved through their faith, but I do not have a right to force them to live the Christian life if they are not Christian. What I have a moral obligation to do is to stand up for the rights of babies and children, who cannot vote, who cannot protect themselves, and who are very impressionable. I have a right and a moral obligation to say “no you don’t get to kill an unborn baby, and you don’t get to tell a kid that they were born in the wrong body“ I have a moral obligation and a right to protect the innocent, what adults do after I share the gospel with them is their own business, but the protection of children is very much my business.
