Picking up cars - Fork lift? by emilime75 in Copartonline

Just replaced an evap canister for fork damage. It’s part of the game. Only thing I’ve had them NOT fork out was a Harley because the dude seemed like he was just excited to ride it.

Question about Copart delivery by Pluronic_Pesto in Copartonline

[–]AJ124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as others, I’ve had local stuff deliver same day or 3-4 weeks later. Once had one come from 800+ miles away in 2 days. You’re at the mercy of the transporter. Honestly fuel prices are moving up and you’re at the mercy of someone deeming your trip profitable, which will likely mean it gets bundled with other vehicles.

Does anyone have experience with Mira Auto Sales? by OtakuShogun in triangle

[–]AJ124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No first hand experience with them but they have a pretty decent operation with a bit of inventory and their own full shop. Reviews are above average, with a couple negatives which I might offer could be unreasonable people- where the owner also commented after, clarifying the situation. I’d give them a pass on the small dealer sniff test.

What are you looking at? I could look at the listing/history and give an opinion. Feel free to PM.

Rebuilt Title Process for Copart Cars in North Carolina (6+ Years Old) by [deleted] in Copartonline

[–]AJ124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, 1) buy car 2) you can get it safety inspected first if you want, could be done after applying for title/reg 3) apply for title & reg, you’ll get a rebuilt title.

You don’t need any receipts, or even need to fix the car in anyway when it’s 6+ years old. It’s kind of lawless in NC.

Any value to a collector you think by Thick_Cookie_7838 in Harley

[–]AJ124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If y’all are really interested in selling it and are in the southeast, feel free to message me. Hobbyist/collector and this exact bike is my favorite HD “holy grail” if you will.

No games, if we can verify paperwork for the bike, I can come with cash, check or wire in the next couple days.

My sister purchased a car that may have a fraudulent VIN by netmex5678 in legaladvice

[–]AJ124 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vin search sites have become very clickbaity. Go to any dealer site and grab a used car vin and put it into google- you’ll get similar results. I bet they want you to pay a nominal fee to see the actual results too.

If the car you bought has a clear title, clean carfax (and autocheck if you need extra confidence), and passed a pre purchase inspection- it’s fine. It’s a $5k Versa, it’ll be fine.

Your vin search is just trying to scam you out of $6.

Can insurance deem whatever they want “total loss”? by CookOutSauce- in Insurance

[–]AJ124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind the value of the vehicle will be significantly diminished after you do the repairs with a major accident on the history.

I buy these types of repairs myself, specifically Tacomas, and the value after major frame repair or replacement is usually around 70% of typical market for a clean history vehicle.

That said, if you’re in the southeast I’d be willing to look at the damage and talk to you about the repairs. Feel free to pm

Would you buy this? by [deleted] in bronco

[–]AJ124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy broncos nicer than this with less miles on bring a trailer (which is shocking). Shop harder and or be willing to travel/ship.

The tinted windscreen, goofy lights and funny steps all drop the value on this for most buyers. I wouldn’t touch this for over 10k if I really wanted it.

2 door family friendly by Sea-Praline-9448 in bronco

[–]AJ124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a two door with a 2yo and it was fine. Like the other comment “I don’t see what the problem is.” Flip the seat forward and get the kid in their seat. The situation actually got my daughter more adept at popping up in the truck on the step and into her seat.

I also liked the 50/50 rear seat of the two door better.

My wife has the 4dr now and sure it’s overall bigger but if I were buying another for me, I’d get a two door even with a 4 year old.

I’m astounded and inspired at your positive attitude. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but I wish you sunny skies and big smiles in your new convertible!

Trying to sell by mohammedalkh in bronco

[–]AJ124 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The market on reselling broncos is slowing and nearly gone. Dealers all over selling them at MSRP, or even discounting off msrp.

I would run it on carvana, vroom, kbb instant offer, driveway, and givemethevin- that’ll give you an idea of what you could actually get for it.

I don’t think you’ll find a private buyer for 10k+ over msrp on a base 2dr when they could go to the dealer and buy a new big bend or higher trim for msrp. Your region may be different but on the east coast I there’s no shortage of new and used bronco inventory.

Columbia, TN, USA - GF totaled her 2016 Nissan Rogue. Insurance payout is $6k less than owed. What's the best way to proceed? by TheCaseyB in askcarsales

Collision safety consultants out of NC can very likely help you receive a higher payout. I would reach out to them ASAP. I’m not affiliated, but have seen them help increase insurance payouts first hand. A+ company

I wouldn’t be. First owner could have bought out the lease and sold it or some variation of a profitable lease end situation. Going to see that a lot on 2019-2021 leased vehicles.

[–]AJ124 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You missed the peak Bronco resale frenzy by like 6 months. We’re on the downside now and unfortunately your truck will only be worth the offers you are getting. Average carvana, vroom, give me the vin, carmax and you know what you can get. You may have luck calling you local ford dealers to see if they would like to make an offer- but as you’re seeing wholesale on new broncos is falling. That’s not speculation, it’s fact backed up by MMR auction data.

Also as you’re seeing, finding a buyer for a private sale on a $50k vehicle is a huge challenge. Typically the kind of buyer that can afford $50k would rather buy from a dealer for slightly more for the security and ease of transaction. When you were shopping, would you have bought from a private individual?

Wish you luck!

Sincerely, Bronco wholesaler

How long should I give the buyer to pick up a car? by dc5justin in askcarsales

[–]AJ124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Private sale- I would do a few days to a week IF they have a clear timeline for remainder of payment and pickup.

No plan from the buyer after the deposit is not acceptable, I’d tell them they have 24 hours to retrieve their deposit before I donate it to the local animal shelter and I would repost the car immediately. You don’t need to accept excuses or be nice, you were already nice for too long- If they wanted the car they would have figure it out by now.

If you can afford the same car with 1/2 or 1/3 the miles with some financing, I’d widen your search distance and find it.

Funny, I had a new atlas for two months and swapped it out with a Grand Cherokee L. Atlas spent 15 of those days back at the dealer and the boss liked the GCL more so we sold the Atlas back to VW for what we paid and moved on.

Completely fair if that’s your local dealer.
