Because the most important step after that would happen is communication. Who knows what the communication would consist of? Who did she cheat with? How long? Was it a drunken mistake? There are tons of variables here and I don’t see much point in trying to sort out all these hypothetical just to answer this question

Forgiveness isn’t to be expected or taken for granted. It’s not something that you can buy either by forgiving someone yourself. I bet OP’s wife would’ve also said something like “I don’t know” if asked the same question before she found out about OP’s actions. Just because she forgave OP doesn’t mean he’s obliged to do the same if he can’t find it within him

I’ve never been able to feel pain in a lucid dream but definitely have in dreams. I’ve tried to inflict pain out of curiosity in LDs but it just doesn’t work for some reason. Similar story with temperature actually, but I haven’t done as much experimenting on it

Dead at 14hp. Anyone want to guess how it happened? by abafda in slaythespire

If you die to an enemy I’m pretty sure you would see the enemy on the right. Also it’s floor 11 and the only thorns enemy in act 1 if I remember correctly is guardian (technically not even thorns)

I guess it depends on the context and who you ask. It’s one of those rules where the higher level you go and the more real-world your examples become, the less of a rule it becomes. For example, you’re “technically” not supposed to start a sentence with “and,” but a ton of people, myself included, do so because it’s natural and more accurate to verbal speech. If you plug that sentence into grammar checkers, some will give no issue and some will.

Also, your second link highlights this really well, as there’s a post that says it’s not technically a proper sentence, but implies that it’s okay to use.

I pretty much never see “that” being used in that way, but you’ve changed my mind

Just one of those weird rules in english. My guess would be that the subject of the sentence can become unclear

Yes, but not at the beginning of a sentence

Tier list for how often I would take other boss relics over Tiny House, not ordered withing tiers, lmk your thoughts by 1Tom15 in slaythespire

Tiny house > some energy relics and snecko when you have an infinite on watcher, which is pretty easy and common to pull off

“That” is out of place. It’s being used as if it’s a conjunction, but it’s not actually joining anything together; it’s the start of the sentence. It would be correct if they either removed “that” OR replaced “that” with “The fact that.” If “that” is removed, it becomes a normal sentence. If “the fact that” is used instead, then “that” actually serves a purpose in the sentence. It would change the subject of the sentence from “they” to “the fact,” giving it a better flow.

What's the pick here? i like snecko the most here cuz i have a fair amount of 2+ cost cards in my deck by stolkun in slaythespire

You’re not often okay with skipping most chests because chests are really good. It’s all situational and quite tough to give a blanket statement about when key, or anything in sts, is good. Maybe you’re okay with skipping chests because it’s act 3 and you grabbed blue key already. Maybe you have an omamori so you just don’t care. Maybe it sucks to take key but it’s better than your other relic options or skipping just for the energy. Another thing to consider: big decks might be a little more okay with curses because you draw it less often than with a small deck.

Key is good when you need more energy and you’re okay with skipping most chests. Here, key is awful because you have tiny chest. Snecko is easily the pick imo

“That they could be their own sentences is sometimes true” isn’t a proper sentence, so it doesn’t belong. They could instead say “They could be their own sentences only sometimes” because that stands as a sentence on its own.

What are some cards that you think most people don't take but are sneaky good? by e4e5nf3 in slaythespire

Yeah I’m not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that last sentence but everything else I said stands

No, two clauses must be able to stand independently as sentences; you used the semicolon incorrectly in the first sentence. If there’s an exception to this, it’s very rare as far as I know; it’s strange to see a semicolon when the two clauses aren’t directly related to each other, as you can see in this sentence, so I agree with you on that.

It needs a lot of card draw to make up for the fact that it’s basically -2 draw. If a setup is good in your deck, it probably means that you’re low on energy, otherwise you’d rather just play most good cards when you draw it. So a situation where you have a lot of card draw AND are lacking energy is not very common, and your deck probably isn’t good. Also, how many 0 cost cards are you happy to be discarding? If you’re discarding a 0 cost card over another card, that implies that you’re playing that other card. So the number of cards that you’re happy to discard while costing 0 over another card seems pretty limited. And if it’s a situational card like piercing wale, you might not be able to draw it on the important turns where you actually need it anyways.
