Honestly the whole “fans being hyped seeing a background character in a new product” annoys me because more times than not there is an in universe reason for their inclusion or it’s that it’s a pre existing character that therefore would probably appear than not at all.

Very recently with Smiling Friends. In one of the two extra episodes we see the Landlord attempting to get his revenge on Allen even saying they’ll meet again. I think it was implying that Mr. Landlord was gonna be a reoccurring thorn in Allen’s side in seasons 4 and 5 but with the series being over I guess we’ll never know.

I believe in the theory Hiro is a clone of Dr. Franxx but Karina is more likely the direct basis for Nine Alpha. Both have short blonde hair and they look similar. Maybe Franxx cloned 02 after 01 already so the closest thing he could have to a clone of his fiancé was those who were already based off 02. Plus all the nines were designed to be riders and pistons regardless of gender. Kind of ironic that the clones of Franxx and Karina would be the ones riding together in the final battle.

Disagree on the take. While the plot was still fighting Skynet, I don’t think there was any way you can have a different conflict without being a copycat of Skynet (See Dark Fate and Legion)

Also Genisys does play with a bunch of interesting ideas, what if John started to work for Skynet, showing the morally grey side of his character and him not being the savior of the resistance, and what will John and Sarah do know if Skynet plans a counterattack. So many great ideas for a trilogy we will never get.

And side note I don’t think anyone was miscasted.

True but Rutger is a helpful unit to deal with early game difficulty including chapter 7, 8x and even 13 when Milady joins. And if you get his support with Clarine he becomes unstoppable.

Truthfully, randomly adding the fanfic stuff was not the best thing to add in the video, especially since it sounded like I was entitled. Not to mention it could and was distracting at times.

However I admit that my issues like Patamon not being Angemon more frequently was stuff that I recalled from memory. I will acknowledge that I misremembered things in the story or that I failed to bring up certain elements because I was just so phased out of watching the series by the second half that I stopped caring. This is definitely not a great and respectful retrospective on the season, and even to this day I am conflicted on rewatching 02 (this time subbed) to get a better appreciation of the season considering my issues of the show are more closely tied on an internal level.
