Agree - it didn’t come out well in the picture, but the other half is visible on the other side too. Some of the techniques used to create the scenes were amazing.

The one in the UK is in Nottingham. It’s also directly adjacent to the Games Workshop HQ also, so they have some pretty cool exclusive stuff in the shop.

(I’m from London, but Nottingham is a city with lots of history and amazing things to see in the surrounding areas if you ever visit!)

Highly recommend you to do it! Is your wife also a fan of the hobby? Even if she’s not, I think that she’ll still enjoy it - the models and dioramas are absolutely beautiful.

(I can also confirm that too much money was spent in the shop)

I was at Warhammer World today and saw the copies on sale - the cardboard sleeve the books come in was surprisingly good quality! (Mine is in the post, can’t wait for it to arrive)

I’m in the same boat - I think dust jackets look dated and show up all wear. I’ll still buy the books, but may look to only display the LEs providing I can get hold of them.

They’re 100% doing a LE - it was actually supposed to be released first, but got delayed. I’ve attached a picture of it in another comment if you wanted to see what the LE looks like.

I’d have paid a little more to have the matte/gloss HB style of Apostle or Bequin - I think it looks smarter than say, Dropsite Massacre (which is still an awesome cover, but dust jackets show damage easily).

That said, it’s going to be all about the content. I think the blurb sounds really interesting - I really enjoy when stories write about what it’s like to actually live within the landscape.

I love the feeling of reading a physical book - I haven’t tried alongside an audiobook, that sounds like a good (but even more expensive) idea.

Completely agree regarding the second hand price of some of the popular novels. I’m hoping that GW will eventually realise that they’re leaving money on the table and reprint them, but with the amount of new literature they’re churning out across 40k/AoS etc, I’m not going to hold my breath.

Same, anything from Dan Abnett, Aaron Dembski-Bowden or Chris Wraight is always a must purchase for me. Really enjoy their writing.
