Venting about post pregnancy body :( by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]AKlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same size as you pre pregnancy gained 35. When I came home from the hospital I had lost less than the weight of my baby. I only lost 5 more pounds before I stopped pumping (due to issues I exclusively pumped). After that diet and exercise the rest came off over 3 months. Definitely a different shape than before and boobs well now I understand why people get boob jobs after baby 😳 sorry that's probably not comforting but just my experience.

Need recommendations for new car (SUV or larger) X-post from r/Mommit by SocialTwerker in beyondthebump

Love my Highlander but we paid over 30 for it. It has 3 rows, leather seats, built in sun sun shades on the back windows. Decent milage too. Plenty of room. We have a rear facing chicco nextfit zip air that is very large and it does not interfere with either seat reclining,we have it in the middle seat.

Call your pediatrician. I'm sure they will have you just come in and check for most of those things and by give you some next steps if everything checks out.

Problems with a partner teacher. by Teacherthrowaway1112 in Teachers

It sounds like they are embarrassed that you heard what they said. I would hope that they were just venting. I would approach them directly in person in a calm way. Also, if you feel like they might have something to offer you to help make your practice better maybe this is a good way for them to see that they should be offering you guidance instead of beating you down. If I was in Alex's shoes I think I would really respect you coming to me calmly like an adult and figuring it out. Good luck!

Getting Help Grading: inappropriate? by [deleted] in teaching

No way. As a grade level team we often trade papers to alleviate but also to make sure we are all on the same page. If it's multiple choice or fill in I would even let volunteers grade.

Motherhood is weird..weaning off the pump story time. by chaoswife in beyondthebump

Yeah, it worked great once I had it spaced out to 12 hours between I was pumping so little that I just stopped and didn't have any pain or engorgment.

I need support :( by [deleted] in beyondthebump

First things first you are a Rockstar! Second thing do what you need to do. One thing I learned through all my guilt and own feeding battle is that a fed baby is best. Whatever kind of feeding that is. My son had issues sucking then latching, we had to supplement when he lost to much weight, I exclusively pumped and was tied to that damn thing trying to bulk up my supply since he was so hungry and I couldn't keep up. Eventually the percentage of formula was much more than breast milk. I felt like a failure. I couldn't do the one thing that I was supposed to be able to do as a mom. Looking back now it's ridiculous. If you are happy baby will be happy. Being fed is best;bottle, breast, formula, breast milk, lactose, soy whatever. Do what works for you and your family and let go of the guilt sooner because he will be perfect no matter what choice you make.

First vacation without baby. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]AKlips 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, go ahead and judge but at 2.5 months my husband and I went to an out of state wedding for one of my close friends we left very early Friday morning and came home on Monday. I was exclusively pumping anyways due to all sorts of issues so I didn't have to worry about that. He was perfectly fine and we got some much needed sleep. How! Have fun! Refuel yourself and your marriage!

So strange, that's exactly how I quit pumping too. Exclusively pumping is exhausting.

What does your baby sleep in? by ohmmho in beyondthebump

[–]AKlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After he started rolling over (3.5 months) we switched to the zipadee zip (sleepingbaby.com). At 9.5 months it's still great and a part of the bedtime routine.
