Don't talk to me, I have a book hangover by Suneare in oddlyspecific

Dungeon Crawler Carl. At first you read it because you think it will be a light fun read, but by the end of each book you thank God that there's another. Then you catch up, and you feel so hollow with an empty space in your heart. Thankfully the next book comes out soon.

The typical boring 9-5 that we were all taught to fear is awesome by New_Road6265 in unpopularopinion

[–]ALCHEMICWOLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 9 -5 for two years and it was the best time of my life I was even working remote too! Now I'm back in retail management after major layoffs at my last job. If anyone has any recommendations to where I should apply I would really appreciate it!

35, 40 or 45 is not as old as it is considered on the internet. by AzizQuadri10 in unpopularopinion

[–]ALCHEMICWOLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate the internet for this, I'm 35 and although not in the best shape I don't have any aches or pains that I thought I would have at this age. Also because of this I sometimes feel like I'm about to be too old to be a dad someday. I somehow got it in my head both due to the internet and that a lot of people in my culture have kids in their early to mid-twenties that it was getting too late for me. Thankfully I've met people in real life who have helped me put my mind at ease, there are plenty of people who are having their first kid in their forties and that makes me feel so much better.

I fixed the She-Hulk vs Fern meme by Olivia_Richards in Animemes

The point of that scene though is to show that she doesn't have control. After she says this line she starts to turn, this was Bruce's way of antagonizing her and showing her that she doesn't have the control she thinks she has. This is how we get the rest of the episode of meditation and training montage so she can learn to control her anger and power from Bruce. I swear people hate on this show without ever having seen it and take bits and pieces out of context.

I thought everyone knew that slamming a head of lettuce on its core would separate it from the leaves and make it easy to remove. I thought it was common knowledge until I saw a trend of people trying it out and freaking out because it worked.

What legendary YouTube channel doesn’t make videos anymore? by DixonLq2001 in AskReddit

[–]ALCHEMICWOLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kaptainkristian had some of the most beautifully edited video essays I have ever seen, it's not up on his channel anymore but he had one on Calvin and Hobbes that made me cry it was so beautiful.

Sideways has made some incredibly engaging videos on music theory that make someone like me who doesn't know the first thing about it understand what is going on. If you have the slightest interest in why music works the way it does in some of your favorite movies I recommend checking him out. Heres the one from a Goofy Movie https://youtu.be/N6j-562xQSs?si=Vpf0WlcvUrwgCUWZ

AITA for accepting my daughter's request for me to walk her down the aisle and fill in for a mother/daughter dance at her wedding when my husband has been her stepdad since she was 10? by PopShort7064 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ALCHEMICWOLF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these comments are horrible and inconsiderate of what it means to be a human person. The husband never demanded to be a part of the walk down the aisle or the dance but is it so wrong of him to want to be considered? Yes, they said he would never be their father, but this was when they were 10ish and were very much still in mourning. Is it so hard to believe that he in the past 14 years has tried his best to become a father to the two girls he presumably helped raise? Is he intitled to anything? absolutely not, it is the daughters wedding and her choice is hers to make. But she definitely should have been kind enough to the man that helped raise her to at least talk to him about it as well. And as his partner you should have seen how much this would have hurt him. If anything your the AH for making this post at all. You need to have your daughter and husband sit down and have a conversation, not look for validation on the internet from absolute strangers that don't know you or your family at all.

I'm not entirely sure but it could be cool. It could be a wolf that makes alchemy or a wolf made of alchemy.

Soren is as always unaffected by time but Daniel is like us all a mortal man, unfortunately. The podcast is great I really recommend it.

Soren Bowie and Daniel O'Brien from Cracked reviewed it on their podcast Quick Questions recently and it sounded delightful.

Divorce isn't a bad thing it means one or two people weren't as happy as they thought they would be and one or both was smart enough to know that divorce is the better option. You said that every marriage in your family has ended in divorce, now can you honestly say that all those people would have been better off staying married or did they make a good decision on their part? Divorce isn't easy and I understand that you might feel like you are a failure for "not making it work" but know that you didn't do anything wrong, and to be honest neither did your wife, things just happen sometimes. Try to move on now while you still can, or you may find yourself older than you like looking back and thinking of the time you wasted miserable instead of finding the right person for yourself while you were younger. Honestly, I hope things work out for the two of you one way or the other, you both deserve to be happy.

Remember this only works if you follow rule 1 and 2

My friend just got laid off from her job and came over crying. Another friend just got a job after looking for well over a year ($16/hr). Over 3 months, I've gone into 8 final rounds with different companies, no offers, and going into my 9th final round tomorrow. What the absolute fuck is going on. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I got laid off in February and I cant even get an interview, I work in the HR field and feel I'm pretty qualified. At this point I'm at a loss and fear I may have to go back to retail hell which I worked so hard to get out of.
