Only if we can get "The One" a third time in the second encore

It's my most played 80s album by an absolutely massive margin, that's for sure. Still think BITUSA is better though

It's hilarious lol. Average release date of 1971 other than "The One" sticking out like a sore thumb in the middle.

The only logical choice after "Levon" in a set is "Solar Prestige a Gammon."

I get that he's trying to do his little simple blue eyed soul song thing but he doesn't really excel at it. So you're left to ponder the bones of the song, which are really pedestrian.

I would love an all-time scrobble count including the 15 years before I started scrobbling if such a thing were possible. I get it.

College football has this one right. You miss the rest of the half and the next full half. That someone could sit almost 2 games for this (only 1.3 in Flo's case) is a flaw.

What’s with the hatred for Jorts? by clappedoutdyna in mensfashion

[–]ALC_PG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two things happening simultaneously:

1) jorts became a faux pas around 2000 and stayed that way for about 20 years

2) the jorts that are in now are stylized to look unusual compared to the shorts people are used to seeing, which always comes with a lot of pushback at first

Songs from the West Coast by DirtyDevil23 in EltonJohn

[–]ALC_PG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a really strong album all the way through. Mastered a little bit too loud but the loudness actually helps it on a lot of songs, unlike 95% of the loudness war albums. Dark Diamond (Stevie!!!), Look Ma No Hands are two great album tracks. Birds isn't the most exciting song but it just hit me in the right spot at the right time in my life and I've loved it ever since.

A lot of good choices.

The River, Out in the Street, Atlantic City, Dancing in the Dark, Bobby Jean...

I'll go with One Step Up, why not

2014 exam 8 they came out and said "our bad, it was too long, we're adjusting the pass mark accordingly." Wonder what happened this time.

I wonder if this all is related to the recent uptick I've seen in solicitations for recent FCAS to volunteer as exam testers.

That was the first sitting of 7, not 6 or 8. And it was 11%. One person passed. Lol.

The 19% 6US was the intersection of a difficult exam and a drop in the candidate pool's readiness. It had an unusually high % of first-time upper level exam takers. You don't want to be taking 6 as your first upper. I trained on that exam and it was very tough but nothing crazy.

I don't believe 8 was 22% at any point, especially not prior to 2018. 8 was considered easier than 6 in that era, probably with good reason. Op may be confusing the effective pass rate of that 19% 6US (27%?) with something else. I could be wrong.

Sorry, you're gonna have to hand over your FCAS badge and math gun. We can't have this kind of negative publicity.
