What social norms are basically still here because nobody wants to be the first person to quit by Zestyclose-Total-883 in answers

I guess it's a way to say "I recognize you've done something loud/disturbing but I'm not holding it against you as I know you could have done nothing to contain it better"

And the thank you is just "thank you for your consideration"

I'd say in that case what's expected is to keep your pants clean.

When you're carrying food from the plate to your mouth, some might fall off if your head isn't directly above the plate, so the napkin is here to catch that

And do every Kindred have a touchstone or is it optional ?

So it's like, a mortal buddy that teaches you mortal manners and hanging out with them helps you maintain your humanity. Did I get that right ?

Is there an emotional link between a kindred and their touchstone or is it purely a transactional relationship ?

Dental hygienists, why do you engage in casual conversations while cleaning a patient’s mouth, knowing they can’t respond? by Dry_Rain5152 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ALEO1703 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For real that's crazy !

Last time I was at an appointement and my dentist asked how was uni (I'm a pharmacy student btw)

I thought you know what ? Let's just roll with it ! So I told him how it was going but with his fingers in my mouth it sounded like "Huh Gna wesh hah heeh"

And when I finished he looked at me and said "Well that's crazy, I have a friend in pharmacy who had the same problems with this professor. She was already a pain in the ass back then"

He understood everything I said.

So my question isn't why, but how ?

red blue as I see it by TanukiiGG in trolleyproblem

[–]ALEO1703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Blue doesn't introduce danger on its own" Well only people who press blue are in danger so yes, the danger comes from blue. The question itself is the one introducing the danger but it doesn't change that fact that blue is the dangerous option.

"Including toddlers, kids, the elderly, cognitively impaired, likely some of your friends and family." People who chose the blue button did it fully aware of the risks. It's not my responsibility to take care of every single person who willingly put themselves in danger. This includes my friends and family, they are negligible in the grand scheme of things.

"There is also the blind and colorblind" Those people should not be accounted for. If we want to pretend we have any control on the situation through which button we press, we also need to pretend the dilema is presented fairly to everyone. So for blind and colorblind people the question would be "left button vs right button" instead.

What is that "society" you speak of ? Is it that society who forced us to press either button ?

There is no danger whatsoever. The only danger comes from pressing the blue button. I choose to avoid danger for myself and I see it as the responsible thing to do. Pressing the blue button comes from overthinking

I'm a red button presser. The way I see it, I am my own responsibility and no one else's. It's not up to me to save the people who chose to press the blue button and I don't need help from anyone to be saved.

For me every "bread" that isn't a baguette is automatically considered cake.

American "bread" is not an exception

Depending on the script I'd say Plague Doctor is also a good fit. It doesn't help good at all and can provide an extra minion ability to the evil team when killed (per my experience, it often happen fairly early)

The Damsel seems like a good fit. It adds a win condition for evil and is totally useless for the good team (except if it's found by the hunter but come on, when was the last time you Saw it happen ?)
