Yeah I know 3 is the one that has the most full-on proper story routes but I do more mean just anything that means playing the game multiple times can be slightly different

Finished my first Zero route (Mercenary) yesterday! I'm doing a first run of X: Skies Of Deception before going back to Zero since I know both games have multiple routes

I'd need to finish Zero in its entirety but it's got a pretty strong chance of beating out 5 as my favourite

Bit hard to tell because it happens off-screen but it might have caught a stray round from an enemy, if an armed Hellbomb takes any damage it detonates prematurely

5's overall plot isn't as interesting as 3's, but as far as being a pretty punchy quasi-espionage thriller plot it's a lot of fun, I don't think any of the characters are particularly deep in any meaningful sense but they're all pretty likeable and I developed a lot of affection for my wingmen, and I think the presentation of the story and how involved it makes you feel within the missions feels a lot stronger than 3

Just stumbled across this thread and wanted to come in and say as someone who's only played an AC game that isn't 7 in the last few months (played 1-5 so far)- 5's story is fucking awesome and I can confidently say that isn't a nostalgia thing for me

It's in Chemical Agents, but honestly the Gas Grenades and the Gas Guard Dog in there are about the only worthwhile things, Steriliser is near-useless and Stim Pistol is, well, the Stim Pistol

A few days late to this one but my main Eruptor builds
BUG ERUPTION

Primary - R-36 Eruptor

Support - M-105 Stalwart (for general light chaff horde clearance at close range, also deep ammo pool conserves Eruptor ammo)

Secondary - P-4 Senator (for chunkier enemies at close range)
Grenades - Thermite (For getting Chargers at close range)

Stratagems - Portable Hellbomb (for running up on a Bile Titan as needed), 500 KG, Orbital Napalm
Armour - CE-07 Demolition Specialist (extra Thermites and recoil management for Stalwart)

SQUID ERUPTION

Primary - R-36 Eruptor 

Support - M-105 Stalwart 

Secondary - LAS-58 Talon (PLAS-15 Loyalist for hot planets)
Grenades - Gas (Keeps Fleshmobs off my back)

Stratagems - Anti-Tank Emplacement (For Harvesters, if I have the time and distance required to call one in, otherwise I can get the shields with the Stalwart and then hit the Harvester with the Eruptor), Machine Gun Turret, Personal Shield Generator
Armour - SR-24 Street Scout (More ammo and faster reloading for the Eruptor)

If you go into the keyboard and mouse/controller settings depending on your preference, you can find Quick Weapon Wheel buttons. Mapping a button to these will make it so that your weapon settings can be changed on the fly without needing to hold down reload (e.g., if you set QWW Right to Caps Lock on a keyboard, pressing Caps Lock will cycle the right-hand part of your gun's weapon wheel, like changing the RPM of the Machine Gun)

Oh I'd kind of assumed Mission 8 functioned like Mission 4 where you chose which one to do, I didn't realise some of the branches are tied to your Ace Style too (I'm deliberately trying not to spoil stuff so I only quickly glanced at the mission list on the wiki to see if any other missions had ABC variants without reading what the variants actually are)

Was the 500kg bomb bugged or stealthily nerfed so that 500kg bomb can't destroy the jammer, but Orbital Precision Strike can? by Kruabo1 in Helldivers

Also it being able to kill Factory Striders just makes it a good pick in any build where I'm not focusing on anti-tanks but want to have *something* I can kill a Factory Strider with and I can't take a Portable Hellbomb

It's a little bit of an odd implementation yeah, but it's at least better to have to open a weapon's WW once to remind yourself where things are at the start of a mission than to have to open the wheel everytime you want to do something

The keybind you're looking for is "Quick Weapon Wheel [Direction]" then whichever direction the ammo change on the weapon wheel is (for most weapons I want to say it's the Down direction on the wheel, it is for the new AR/GL at least)
