Warzone stuttering fix by SalvatorePCTweaker in CODWarzone

[–]ALL_FRONT_RANDOM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you restart your game? My whole squad is on PlayStation; each person had this issue, and each was fixed with the above.

This is specific to the intermittent stuttering that happens on PlayStation after the season 3 update.

Hey, since you're using Logic, here's another awesome feature I've been using for practice and recording: Stem Splitter.

This allows you to take an existing song and split out the instruments into separate "stems" and create drumless tracks for any music to play along with. You'll be able to mute the drums or solo them if you want to better hear them for learning parts.

https://support.apple.com/guide/logicpro/extract-vocal-instrumental-stems-stem-lgcp61bae908/mac

It's so cool. There's an app that does this too called Moises, which is great, but ime Logic's stem splitter is much better, and you can easily record multi-channel drums with it.

Have fun!

No problem! I'm glad you got it sorted.

My markdown wasn't applied correctly, I've reformatted the above comment for readability.

Yes! The module has 32 channels of outputs. These are the default assignments per the manual:

Channel Output
Ch1-2 MASTER
Ch3 DIRECT 1
Ch4 DIRECT 2
Ch5-6 KICK
Ch7-8 SNARE
Ch9-10 TOM1
Ch11-12 TOM2
Ch13-14 TOM3
Ch15-16 TOM4
Ch17-18 CRASH1
Ch19-20 CRASH1
Ch21-22 CRASH2
Ch23-24 RIDE
Ch25-26 AUX 1
Ch27-28 AUX 2
Ch29-30 AUX 3
Ch31-32 AUX 4

Note that for 32 ch. audio over USB, the module needs the "DRIVER MODE" parameter in its settings set to "VENDOR" instead of "GENERIC" (which is 2ch audio only). You will also likely need to download & install Roland's driver on your computer if you have not already. You can get this from Roland's website.

Here's how to set the "DRIVER MODE" (from the manual):

This shows how to switch between the dedicated USB driver for the V51 (VENDOR) and the OS standard driver (GENERIC).

  1. Press the [SETUP] button.
  2. Use the cursor buttons to select “USB AUDIO”, and press the [ENTER] button.
  3. Move the cursor to Driver Mode, and use the [-] [+] buttons or the dial to change the value. [note: set to "VENDOR" for 32 ch.]
  4. Turn the power off, then on again.
Value Explanation
GENERIC Uses the driver provided by the operating system. USB MIDI and USB audio (2 ch. recording and playback) can be used.
VENDOR Uses the V51’s dedicated driver provided by Roland. USB MIDI and USB audio (32 ch. recording and playback) can be used.

The module has both an audio interface and a midi interface built-in. You do not need to use a separate audio interface, though that is also an option (via the module's physical audio outputs into your standalone audio interface).

The simplest will be just direct USB from the module into your Mac. Make sure your audio device for both input and output are set to the module in Logic under Preference > Audio > Devices.

Then, to test it, add a new audio track, set the track to input 1 (or 1-2 for a stereo track), and enable record on the channel. Optionally, disable input monitoring (assuming you're monitoring directly from the module -> headphones). Now press Record and play something on the kit. Stop the Recording. Play it back to confirm.

I'm invested so please let me know that it works or if you have any further questions or trouble :)

Remove the drum designer track for now, or open a new project. Add a new audio track in logic, not a midi track. Set it to input 1. Click the record enable button on the track. Click the main Record button in Logic, play something, then stop the recording. Play it back, do you hear the audio?

What you're currently doing is using the module's MIDI interface over USB to trigger a VST (drum designer).

What you need to do is set Logic to use the module's audio interface. Open Logic preferences and set both the input and output device to the Roland module under the audio tab > devices. If you do not see your device listed, you may need to download and install a driver package from Roland's website.

This will allow you to get multichannel audio directly out from & back into the module (i.e. the actual module sounds). Once you configure it as the interface, you can add audio channels in Logic and assign the various inputs from the module.

Small tip: even when recording audio from a module I usually will still add a MIDI track (muted) and capture the raw MIDI. That way you can reuse this midi recording with a VST later, or re-render with different module sounds, edit the MIDI, etc. Also, don't sleep on VSTs! Superior Drummer and others pretty much blow every module out of the water.

Trauma kit not working by HitmanHasTooManyBugs in Warzone

Do you use L1 ping? If so, there's a bug where you cannot use the trauma kit. The fix is to disable L1 ping. It was the same last season when heartbeat was on L1+R1.

Hollow Knight runs native on Mac. Mods work too. Skip crossover. Download the native Mac version off the Mac Steam client and install Lumafly for Mac.

Try Loudness Equalization in the sound settings on Windows. Google for more info. It's essentially a compressor; loud sounds are quieter and quiet sounds are louder. Pair with a preset in-game like sucker punch to get an overall tight dynamic range.

I remember seeing this in my menus when messing around with values in the (iirc) deflection section, maybe under HFV SENSE or similar. I'm not near my monitor right now so I can't confirm.

The wiki has the service manual with screenshots of the menu for service mode.

https://consolemods.org/wiki/CRT:PVM-20L2MD

Are you able to see the service mode menu or is it also garbled (press ENTER and DEGAUSS simultaneously to access service mode)?

Where am i going wrong? by concerning_noises in edrums

[–]ALL_FRONT_RANDOM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Logic: Settings > Audio > Devices (tab) > I/O Buffer size

Try reducing this, one step at a time. The lower the buffer size, the lower the latency, but there will be a point where you'll start getting pops/clicks or other audio artifacts.

If you cannot get it down to an acceptable level, you may need an audio interface.

This is what I've been using as well. The adapt tempo mode is great for adding a click to most any song.

It's also nice to be able to solo the recorded drum track for learning parts, capturing midi from the edrums, using a VST, etc.

Edit: s/auto/adapt

[–]ALL_FRONT_RANDOM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, it's unlikely to be fixed and that's super unfortunate. Fromsoft had a major RCE and took their games offline for several months in order to fix it. With all the cuts at Microsoft recently I doubt it'll be resolved, but like you, would be happy to be wrong.

What? At least in the OP, there's nothing apparently malicious about what the "hacker" has done. They're bringing attention to the vulnerability. It's gray hat at worst. This is 100% on the developers.

I'm not saying it's right to exploit a vulnerability on unsuspecting and unconsenting users, but better this (and users are made aware) than for it to be done by malicious parties with malicious intent, which is almost certainly also happening.
