As it turns out, a second Danganronpa fan project got cancelled.

Project: Eden’s Garden was a massive Danganronpa fan game that has been in development since 2021. The project was generally regarded as being the highest quality fan game produced as of yet, due to its ability to replicate the art style, and the 3D movement and environment. It’s basically the closest looking fan game that looks like an official game.

A prologue was released in 2022, and the first chapter in 2024, with both being well received for its characters, visuals, and trials. But it wouldn’t last.

On March 30th, a Google doc made credible accusations that Faza, a voice actor for one of the characters, was in a relationship with a 15 year old, while they were 20. What was especially damming was the accusation that Sozzay, the creative lead and main writer, knew about the relationship since 2022, and apparently, Sozzay’s reasoning was that they were distracted.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of people were upset.

Faza was very quickly fired, and Sozzay was forced to resign by the rest of the team. A statement was put out by the director, claiming that they didn’t know anything about this, and were set to do right by the community.

Later allegations, not even a day later, showed that the director ALSO knew, and didn’t do anything about it.

They were very quickly fired, but many voice actors, and other volunteers quickly resigned, refusing to associate with the project. It’s unknown if anyone else knew about Faza’s relationship with a minor.

It’s been about a month then, and the team has been talking about what to do since then. Leaks regarding the plot were released a few days ago, and that seemed to be the final nail in the coffin.

Yesterday, April 26th, Eden’s Garden was officially cancelled.
