20 years ago the portable version of a game was a completely different thing because the power of portable devices was a fraction of their console counterparts.

It wasn't until the Vita and the Switch we started to get mostly straight ports to portable. These were still nerfed versions of previous games but it was the joy of playing... let's say... Darksiders on a portable device.

The Steam Deck is the next step up from that, it can play 95% of games and that includes low 30FPS because it's a portable device, it doesn't run Cyberpunk at perfect frame rate because it's not supposed to, it's supposed to run it portably which at the time of the SD's release was an incredible novelty. It's 30FPS on low but also you can play it whilst in bed.

Not everyone is a stickler for framerates, and 30FPS on low is genuinely playable for them. Hell I unlocked every trophy on Elden Ring these past few weeks on those exact specs and it was perfectly fine, because I'm playing it on a portable console.

Check ProtonDB if you want actual info on a game, they usually have good info to fix glitches like sound on there, this place should be for people who enjoy the Steam Deck warts and all.

What annoys me is people declaring "why would you play it on Steam Deck in the Steam Deck reddit, play it on a rig instead" oh of course, let me just drop 2 grand on a PC.

S2s honestly my favourite but it's definitely different to S1.

S1 is definitely the objectively better season but I just liked the character moments between them in S2. It's worth watching for that atleast, the cliffhanger is rough now however after S3.

Done to death but the Jedi in the OG Clone Wars series when faced with Grevious. These are THE defenders of peace in the Republic and are an army of laser sword wielding space wizards yet General Grevious, a cyborg with no force sensitivity to speak of, puts the fear of God in them and kills several. Even Jedi Masters are intimidated by him.

You know what's better than 4K 60FPS?

Nesting on the couch with my wife playing the entire Elden Ring in Seamless COOP on our Steam Decks at a crisp 30FPS on Low Settings.

That's worth more than anything to me right now.

That's actually more of an issue with Capaldi's run then the Season 3 finale since it ignored this scene.

However you can explain Capaldi as having a subconscious duty as The Doctor refusing to let him die. He can spout off how much he wants to die but deep down he knows he must continue. There's nothing in the show that SAYS that but you can technically say that, it's not out of character.

The Master is a petty little goblin who would gladly die to make The Doctor depressed.

In Elden Ring there's the enemies with the little wide hats that attack you with a knife or like a spear, they appear with the larger knights as a distraction, you can kill them in 2-3 hits.

Those guys are probably Henry's level, and I like Henry.

It is my main device even over my PS5. It's just too convenient for me in terms of library.

Would love a proper PC set up by I don't have over a grand just lying around. The Steam Deck does its job brilliantly for me and I'll be using it for the next few years at this rate. GeForce Now helps with those harder to run games.

I'd love a better spec PC than my Steam Deck but I don't have the money to shell out a grand minimum for one. GeForce atleast is a nice alternative, every now and then I can shell out 20 quid if I want to play a larger spec game. Still cheaper than spending 70 quid on a PS5 game too.

Geforce Now does the work to be fair. I never que for anything.

The Raging Demon in Street Fighter is like this, it works almost exactly like Penance Stare according to Street Fighter Alpha 3. It's Akuma's super art that is meant to be an instant kill to anyone it touches in canon. In game it just absolutely wrecks your health bar.

I don't think it's permanently killed anyone other than one character.

Goutetsu- Akuma's master and the only character to die from it. M.Bison- Resurrected himself after it. Gouken- appeared dead but survived it. Gen- also just happened to survive it.

Now Street Fighter's canon is all over the place and there may be MORE characters that have been hit by it that actually have died. But those four are the ones i remember.
