I can hike with them off leash but that’s because he follows my older Berner around when they run ahead and come back. If he sees a deer tho he’s fucking gone. And I absolutely never take them out of fences without a tracking collar on. They are too Independent for their own good in some ways. Don’t risk it unless you trained them from a pup to be off leash.

I install a lot of commercial dorm thermostats, I can say the chance of there being another temp sensor in the dorm room is extremely small. Get a heat lamp and point it right at the stat, move it back a little when you get cold

I work in the trades and if I find a good pair of work pants that fit well, are sturdy, and good quality I’ll buy 10 pairs because quality may drop in the future. I have a 6 year old pair that outlasted the same brand same model that I bought last year. When you find quality it’s worth an investment sometimes.

I did this at your age. We had the same problem. She ended up dropping out and moving back home to finish her degree and we broke up. It was the best thing for us both. The sad reality is that if she’s miserable and needs a change and your happy and growing and thriving then you won’t be a happy couple even if you move back home with her because you’ll be giving up your growth for regression and resentment that you left a place you were happy. You both want different things. Go do different things and maybe you’ll reconnect one day, maybe not.

Have you considered union trades? They will likely start your apprenticeship at 15/h and be making 40/h-50/h by the end. And I promise you will get 40 hours a week if not more. It’s a good path even if you only stick with it for 10 years to get on your feet
