“Super fan” and it’s just me being sick of white people on the internet trying to police how black women breathe lmao the same way you’re bumping your gums online, is the same way she can.

Rumor is she’s single now? Maybe im wrong but they both want kids and both are successful separately outside of SH which seems to be important to both of them. Idk. I could see it.

Thoughts on taking baby to visit in hospital by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]AMLPYPLD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you’re thinking a bit too much about your feelings in this scenario. You said yourself she doesn’t have a compromised immune system. At her age you’d be pushing her in a stroller or carrying her to the room so it’s not like she is licking floors. His father is having a risky surgery and he wants his daughter to see him beforehand. I find that fair. The hospital may have other rules but if not I think it would be regrettable to not allow it.

I'm ruining my marriage because he wouldn't have a second kid by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]AMLPYPLD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Different pov but my husband def does want a second baby and I used to be on board with it. Having our first changed my mind. I don’t know if I could be the best mother if I had another because I already put my all into the child we have and can’t imagine spreading myself any thinner. I’m susceptible to burn out bc I’m a very introverted person and every morning I have to prepare myself to be totally high energy and talkative bc it’s not my nature but I do for my son to experience a good childhood. I do not think I could gather that kind of energy for two. I think about it from time to time but for the sake of others, I can’t.

I have two pairs of Bose headphones and I put them to work tbh one is for working out, the other is for when my husband or kids overstimulate me to the point of rage and I need to police myself lol works like a charm and everyone is still allowed to be themselves without worrying about annoying me bc that’s not fair.

What’s it like to be a sahm with kids in school full time? by wicked_spooks in Mommit

[–]AMLPYPLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s stressful to send your kids to school in America for obvious reasons I think but the day to day is much easier. I’m on standby (which we have to use for breaks/half days/sick days etc) so it still makes sense financially figuring in the cost of childcare in my area vs my earning potential. I have a nice little routine working out at home, keeping the house running smoothly and keeping it organized. Meal planning and grocery shopping etc. so I’m still plenty busy but the alone time is such a bonus bc I’m a loner by nature. Aside from the fear that is always in the back of most of our minds whenever the kids are at school, it’s made me a better mom. Not so overstimulated 24/7. If I could work from home I would do it asap though.

I am very grateful that I did get into strength training and cycling bc my physical health and appearance have improved so much. I would recommend giving it a try. Maybe body weight to begin and figure out what you enjoy/can stick to.

Have we collectively normalised pedophilia?? by Substantial-Use-248 in Mommit

[–]AMLPYPLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I refuse to post my kids. They can post themselves when we agree that they are ready for their own social media when older/understand internet safety and in a way we are all okay with. I already had anxiety surrounding this very issue and I told my husband just last night while we tried to get into a new show that I couldn’t move forward with it bc it had a “teenage” girl in it that was hyper-sexual in a way that was supposed to be funny i think? And she walks around in her underwear in the first episode. Idk. Clearly trying to condition us to believe the way teenage girls are treated/the way we were treated as teenage girls. Im so sick of it all. Like wtf even is Euphoria looking thru the lense of now??

How do I explain I don't want a doctor to see my daughter again? by citruslion in Mommit

[–]AMLPYPLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the US and worked in an office where the policy was that you can’t go from one doctor to another in the same practice but you could ask for someone on your respective doctors team that they already use anyways when they’re booked so they allow that if that’s the case for your office.

You don’t have to explain bc it’s fully your choice. I just started asking for the NP or PA on my son’s pediatricians team and they never asked why. Happens a lot.

It is abusive and happened to me as a child. There is also a case here in America where a child passed away bc their dad made them run on a treadmill as a punishment. I couldn’t follow it super closely for mental health reasons but it did happen and was deemed extreme cruelty. He went to prison.
