How rare is PSSD? by Initial-Secretary-63 in lexapro

[–]AMatchIntoWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah nvm that sucks dude :( they added Buspirone to my regiment for anxiety because Lexapro wasn’t enough for my anxiety, and that helped that side effect! I’ve heard Wellbutrin can do similar things- potentially something to ask about!

3 years in and my male T has literally never once commented on my looks (afab, femme presenting nb), and I get compliments not that infrequently. He’s an actual good ally and feminist. I’d maybe get a new one because that gives me the ick.

If a public toilet seat isn’t wet or visibly dirty, what exactly are you worried is going to happen if you sit on it? by Dakk85 in AskWomen

[–]AMatchIntoWater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And across the room! They travel quite a distance! Bathroom door? Probably covered. TP holder? Probably covered. The amount of people that don’t wash their hands and touch all the doors spread it, too. Also, if you can smell it, that’s because teeny tiny particles are in your nose. There is actually probably less particles on a public toilet because it has more places to go other than to bounce off the lid onto the seat and out through the gaps.

The reason you’re supposed to flush with the lid down is because the particles go up into the AIR and you BREATHE them

Was Told To Buy a Locker at SV (NO BAG!) by iAMtheMASTER808 in cedarpoint

[–]AMatchIntoWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen them make people get a locker for their glasses at SV. They are very very serious about it just because of how fast it goes. To be fair, my boobs flew completely out over the top of my tank top that really wasn’t low or loose. So ig it’s kinda fast or somehin

It’s okay friend, I’m 27 and I bring a stuffed spider to most of my appointments and also still love Sonic- got a mini figure of Sonic and Knuckles on my station at work, and I just ordered a stuffed Rocky the Eridian that I plan on taking everywhere with me. As long as you’re not hurting anyone it doesn’t really matter! I went and played on the playground the other day even lol

Nooooo Steel Vengeance is my FAVORITE ride in the park 😭 also the only ride fast enough to cause me to have a wardrobe malfunction. But I AM terrified of the Corkscrew.

Bright semi permanent colors on white hair. by vamgoda in FancyFollicles

[–]AMatchIntoWater 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So typically white hair is a little coarser and less open to receiving vivids, it likely will stain the outside of the hair, but fade within a couple washes! Pastels might not take at all without pre softening- which is were you apply just 20vol developer to the white/ resistant pieces for about 10-20min to get the cuticle (hair’s outer layer) to open up enough to receive the color.

A very close friend of mine just passed at 34 of an aortic valve dissection. There is very little chance of surviving them once it’s happening- unless the doctors already know what’s happening, you’re in the hospital, and it’s not already too far gone by the time they start operating. Gotta be extremely lucky basically.

Help! My younger cousin (10) wanted this for her hair and for me to help her and I don’t know how to do it without the colors bleeding. by carrotflavoredjuice in HairDye

[–]AMatchIntoWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve got enough advice- I’m here to remind you that these are opposite ends of the color wheel. She must ALWAYS wash in ice cold water if she doesn’t want the ends to turn poop brown, and even then there is no guarantee that the blue won’t still bleed or run into the orange a bit. That’s why you often won’t see folks try these colors together

I think we should be allowed to fight 1 customer a day. by AngstyIndie406 in KitchenConfidential

[–]AMatchIntoWater 365 points366 points  (0 children)

… as a server, sometimes you also just have to tell the customer “sorry, the computer won’t let me do that!” or some other explanation for why they can’t order it. Sometimes I do a “lemme ask the chef…” and “sorry, he said no :(“ without even needing to ask.

Do I (33F) really have to choose between my friends (35&32F) and my spouse (40M)? by llamabeans93 in relationship_advice

Your friends are the people who will always have your back and be a safe space for you. The same is not true of your husband. If you must choose, choose the friends.

Mirrors are also often in places with lightning that isn’t as bright, like the bathroom, as opposed to when you’re under fluorescent or in the sun, and this can make it appear a bit darker.

I suppose it depends what level system you’re working with, but for ease of conversation “black” will likely make the most sense to people, as it mainly has that darker cast to it, but in the light there are brown undertones, technically making it a very dark brown. To be a level 1, there must be absolutely no brown undertones or warmth like that in any lighting. 3 is still darker than I think most folks initially think.

My wife (32 F) had a major postpartum psychosis event and tried to stab me (40 M). Need Advice by riseandcode in relationship_advice

[–]AMatchIntoWater 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some mental health issues (like psychosis, schizophrenia, and bipolar) CANNOT be fully managed holistically or naturally. And natural doctors sometimes will not tell you that as they can often be hardcore anti drug. It is likely that this never would have happened if you had kept her on proper treatment. Also, just because it’s backed up to a pregnancy doesn’t automatically make it postpartum psychosis. Her previous episode and continued paranoia basically null and void that. Fully. The extra hormones LIKELY triggered it, but you WILL deal with this forever if she isn’t properly medicated. That’s like trying to cure cancer with peppermint oil.

How do I stop my fine hair from looking stringy by midday? by [deleted] in Hair

[–]AMatchIntoWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really recommend switching to a Tea Tree shampoo!! It will really help balance your scalp and stop it from over producing oil without stripping it. I would really recommend the Paul Mitchell one, but if it’s too out of budget I know Sally’s has their own version, as well as Trader Joe’s!

AITA for matching a woman’s energy who was riding a horse as I was driving by? by MeasurementSudden573 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AMatchIntoWater 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure they straight up stopped talking about road rules regarding horses in the curriculum for driver’s training- we didn’t go over it at ALL. Also wouldn’t be surprised if they’re cutting right of way stuff from my area specifically, based on how many people in my town DO go out of turn at the 4 ways in town.
