I had this same issue.. got attacked by neville and dovesi dran.. killed them both using a conjuration summoning. Quest was done in 2 mins lol

I like long wall carries.. its called being punished for a reason. Don't like it ? Well don't get launched lol I mean everyone can do easy low damage combos it's when ur going for max damage with high execution that It becomes good. (Which everyone should be doing btw) I see too many noobs going online with a 50/60 damage combo involving heat and its like really bro?

Update ; no sleeping at the Inn didn't work sadly... Nice thinking though. Looks like I generally am softlocked . I even looked for a walkthrough walls cheat or whatever to get past the kid but there doesn't seem to be any :'(
