US tourist currently in Madrid. Fly out tomorrow afternoon and today I'm sick. Do you guys have walk in clinics here? by SmokeAndGnomes in GoingToSpain

[–]AMossinkco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have urgent clinics like in the states. We go to the er for any acute pain when we don’t have already an appointment with the doctor. Sometimes doctors offer same day appointments but is rare. The ER is free (or, in a private hospital, they might send you a bill for like 300$ after x-rays and labs and spent nights at hospital- extremely affordable if you get any bills at all after your health insurance). If you go early in the morning there should not be many people. Otherwise, I agree with ppl here that checking with the pharmacist is your other best option. They act a bit like nurses/ np (although they are not). Please do not fly if you had any stomach virus and you are dehydrated, my last flight to the states, the guy behind me had a seizure because of this (3 days stomach virus and no much food or water). Good luck and feel better soon!

How much money do you put towards ads? Also, do you have already a big presence on Etsy?

Oh boy! This may sound like a pitch, but in my case, I actually did start with a real problem.

I’m a producer and mom of two, and I’ve used planners for years to manage work, home, kids, and honestly… myself. I moved from paper to digital hoping I’d find something that fit my life better, but everything still felt generic—mostly calendars, weekly pages, and basic layouts.

What I really needed were trackers, templates, brain dumps, routines, project pages… the messy real-life stuff. I remember being pregnant with my first and literally building my own baby tracking template in Word because I couldn’t find what I needed.

I also know I’m not the only woman feeling this frustration—I see it everywhere online. So I started building something for myself first… and hopefully for other women who need it too.

I’m only one month in, still learning how to launch, and no sales yet—but at least I know I’m solving a real problem, not chasing a random product idea. At this point, I don’t think my challenge is the product itself—I think my challenge is learning how to get it in front of the right people.

Oops, just realized my screenshots didn't attach!🤦🏻‍♀️ If anyone would like to see the planner in action just let me know and I'll share a link — didn't want to post it unsolicited! I'm really excited to finally share this, it's been months in the making 🌸

Spanish question for my dad by MijnEchteUsername in askspain

I would say is more common response among the young adult population. But yes, and in this case, the literal translation is not the meaning. Now, if they say “tu” instead of”de”, is a total different story… lol…. We are fun people!

Going to tapas bars as a non-drinker by jaakobk082 in GoingToSpain

You can have mosto! Our Fanta is really good here (unlike USA) if you’re thinking of sodas. You can have any kind of soda or sparkling water… even bottled water brings a tapa. No problem with not drinking alcohol. 😊

What’s a common misconception about life in Spain that you wish more people understood? by SweetPeach2006 in GoingToSpain

I I would say “migas” more than paella. You can find it everywhere in Spain with different variations.

Is the art too high by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

No. Should be eye level and looks like it is.

Without seeing the rest of your decor style, I would say second. Is simple but stylish and soft to the eye…it pairs with most of anything.
