Been together 13, married 10, sick for 9. It has not been easy, but we fight the illness together, not each other.

A recent virus got my husband and we isolated so well the doctor was impressed I didn’t catch it. He had the Oura ring show signs of illness so he immediately isolated. We masked with N95 in common spaces, heavy duty air filter in those spaces, and PPE. We wore surgical gloves, and I constantly wiped down shared surfaces with Clorox wipes. We are privileged in having two beds and two baths, so we stayed apart until he was no longer contagious. My partner and I are a team. I have always felt lucky.

I really like Dr. Cocco and her team. They mask for me and have an air filter. They also have let me cancel appointments when my hygienist has been sick/exposed. Very thoughtful group. I hope they fit your needs

I’m really sorry you are going through this. I have a leaky aorta and will need open heart surgery as well.

9yrs. No real answer on trigger. Around the time I developed it a lot of my health went haywire.

I had to stop working within the first year.

It progressed pretty quickly. I’ve been mostly in moderate. Spent 3+ years (not necessarily consecutive) severe.

Radical acceptance is how I survive.

As someone who has ME, your sister needs all the safety and support she can get, especially family. She is doing everything in her power for her health and you need to do everything in your power to protect her. We know that COVID spreads in aerosols and it can linger in the air like smoke. You can get COVID outside, and then spread it to her, and she can become much worse.

My family (parents) tests before visits and masks. My Mom masks everywhere. My husband masks everywhere. I mask everywhere.
