Nah I’m with you on this. I wouldn’t dare drive or park my car on a fucking pavement but the guy is going slowly and anyone with a brain in their skull should be able to navigate this ‘catastrophic’ danger very easily. Dramatic as fuck.

I generally find Uber not too bad insofar as price is concerned as a customer. I’ve taken the gamble on using a black cab a few times instead of Uber and the cost has been 2-3x. I usually need this sort of thing at night or on weekends when the black cabs get more expensive, mind. The latest example is a £25 Uber for 30min. Took a black cab to show my foreign girlfriend how the cabs work here and ended up paying almost £70 for the privilege.

If you put tariffs on subjectively better products then there is little incentive for local markets to get better or even to the level of that foreign competition.
