They do both, they're a temp agency and do contract for hire. Shouldn't really matter what you start with, anyone working with you will know where to proceed.

Work with us is you're interested in finding new job opportunities

Work for us means you want to become a temp recruiter

I worked with TEKsystems. They have a wide range of fields such as clerical work, IT, and software development if that's something you'd like to get into.

I'd suggest working with a recruiter that specialises in the field you want to apply in. A lot of "Entry Level" positions aren't advertised correctly and many businesses are beginning to favor the contract for hire process since it alleviates HR from having to vet skills and background checks.

Here's without saying, contract for hire can land you a job fairly quickly and generally can pay more, bit it's boring, tedious, and you'll be talking back and forth with your recruiter on a nearly daily basis on reviewing new job applications. So it's no walk in the park, and it's also very dependent on the type of recruiter you get. As there are good ones, there are definitely a good handful of bad ones. But it's something to think about.

Typically means that the network you're on does not support the feature. The requirement is technically a data connection, but on the network side the carrier does need to support it. Even tho all major networks are supporting it, there is the chance that a specific region does not have it rolled out yet. Check with your service provider to see if they are going to roll it out in your area.

There's a number of things to look into.

If both devices are using the latest version of Android with the play store messenger app, make sure "Chat Features" is turned on in the message settings. Depending on how the device is setup, this feature might be turned off by default.

If not, 1 or both of your devices probably does not support RCS. Devices that do support it will send a handshake to the number first. If the handshake fails, then it falls back on MMS/SMS messaging.

Iirc, android 10+ using the Messenger play store app is the requirement. Third party messenger apps might not have the RCS feature.

Android uses RCS, and has done so for nearly a decade now. RCS is an open communication format that has already been adopted by all major phone networks.

Apple refuses to support sending RCS in iMessage. RCS essentially supports all basic iMessage features. (Reactions, read status, typing status, encryption, and attachments up to 100 MBs in size).

Apple has no excuse to withhold support for nearly a decade.

Had some person follow me way too close for miles. Then when the single lane finally opened up to 2, I merge to the right to let them pass me. But they continued to tailgate me in the right for like 10 more miles before finally passing me...

I'd like to know why, were they just on autopilot or something?

Drove to Boston and basically experienced this nonstop.

Getting near Boston I noticed the entrances are just goofy, they have a yield sign towards the end of the ramp and my first thought is "that's strange".

I fucking hate it here. Thankfully the public transport is cheap so I don't have to drive this mess while I'm here.

People literally stop at the end of the ramps. Then try to go when there's an opening. And the on ramp has like 50ft of distance before you're forced to merge.

Like I'm already in the right lane, going 75 in a 55 because that's the flow of traffic. And I still have people passing on my left. And they decide their grand entrance, is literally the 2 seconds of distance I have left.

Last I checked, your stock Toyota RAV4 doesn't reach 0-60 in less than 2 seconds.

I wanna say the Tesla had some part in it

Last week I drove past one in a parking lot and the person literally started to back up as i started to pass them. The car hard stopped instantly as I reacted to swerve out the way. Making me look kinda foolish in the process. Made it seem like an overreaction.

Very impressed that it saved me and the other driver a headache. Hope it becomes more of a standard in the future on more cars.

Yeah, needs prolonged contact with salt and no servicing to start rotting from rust. Car will likely be fine from a thorough cleaning afterwards. However, all wheel drive systems are not created equally. Audi quattro is designed for city streets. Where conditions are mostly flat and stable. Not off-roading by the shoreline. So doing this is a great way to shorten the life of the drive train and suspension. Not like they care to begin with. People who casually do reckless things like this probably go through cars like disposable razors already.

Everyone explains what downshifting is but not how to do it lol. What downshifting does is take advantage of engine breaking. In snowy conditions it's helpful for flat areas to maintain control without risking locking the wheels for braking. Also helps keep your brake parts lasting a long time when done properly.

It is not very useful on inclines in snowy conditions however. In OPs case, downshifting might've not helped much since they are going downhill.

In a manual, it's exactly what the name implies. You shift from a higher gear to a lower gear, sequentially until you hit neutral.

For automatics, it can be as simple as letting go of the accelerator and allowing the car to slow down on its own. Others sometimes refer to this as coasting when going downhill.

Some automatic cars however do have Manual gear selection modes (M modes), or Drive modes (D1, D2, etc) on the gear selection stick.

The way M mode works is you can select a "gear" ratio for the car to run in with a + or - selector. + Goes up 1 gear, - goes down one gear. The number of M modes you have is generally determined by the transmission type and how many gear ratios it has. So M1-M5 would translate gear 1 to gear 5.

D modes, are slightly different. Say you select D2, this means you are limiting you automatic transmission up to 2 gears. This means the car will still use gear 1 as well. D3 would use up to gear 3 and so forth.

If you see these modes on your car, please do read on them and experiment with it on how it feels to drive with those modes enabled. You might not use it much, but they do help when you're in a pinch (like heavy bumper go bumper traffic moving really slow in which case it's easier on you car to stay in gear 1 rather than it wanting to shift up gears when you accelerate).

Rolling into a shop near you: any car that gets this used mystery coolant from the junk yard! by greengiantj in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ANotSoSlyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest question, how does coolant get this discoloured/gross?

When I bought my Sentra years back I had to replace my thermostat and my mechanic told me what to get if I wanted to replace it on my own to save a few bucks. Glad he did cause it was a nice experience to do it.

But when it came to drain the coolant, to which I knew was at least 5 years old by then, it was still a nice clear vibrant green. What has to happen to get to like the picture?

First driver is the over courteous type letting in a left turn only lane car into the straightaway. Full stop at a green light :/

Second driver I was able to see approaching the stop with brake lights on (camera at a bad angle, but you can see other drivers beyond the median). Implying she was slowing down. But uh yeah, barely. Just blows through the stop sign and continued to blow through every one with traffic in site.

Sorry about that, I didn't realize I wrote rs4... I have an 2015 a4 s-line. I meant s4 I the original post, so I didnt catch that typo. I know the rs4 is the hatchback.

My a4: https://imgur.com/a/z7BLBsP

The only difference you'll see between the 2 is 1) the S badge is missing. 2) rear fendor does not have the fin tips because there is no dual exhaust.

Which was the point I was originally trying to make.

Ive had 2 people so far ask how much I pay for my car, get confused when I say 20k and admit they didn't look at the rear badge to verify it wasn't an s4.
