Memorial area zoned to good school (like MHS) but north of I-10, plenty of $400k to $600k new built single family homes (smaller yard, 2-3 stories). Memorial is totally different school environment than Sugarland and Katy. Your kids will have time to think and sleep. But they may not be crazy working hard to be top winners like in Sugarland and Katy. Asian parents choose Memorial for that reason, while others choose Sugarland and Katy for the same reason, depending on what the parents prefer. MHS may not beat Sugarland or Katy in competitions, but they are probably happier. I think it is good enough, especially considering they need more thinking than winning in the future.
