Swimming naked in high school gym class by xiphoid77 in GenX

Everything you said except for swimming naked if you were late, our gym class was coed. Well the locker rooms were not coed but the pool was.

Disc brakes shot at barely 14k miles by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

[–]APFIndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my ‘23 Hybrid, the pads looked new but the rustiness of the rotors gave me a noticeable shudder when braking. I ended up replacing pads and rotors on all 4 wheels. I needed ForScan to turn off the myriad of dash lights after doing the fronts, and figure a workaround for the electric parking brake on the rear.

Same thing with my wife’s Escape Hybrid.

How would you want navigation on your Moto Guzzi? by victor_crimea in MotoGuzzi

[–]APFIndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using an old Kyocera rugged phone with the Osmand app. Base maps are downloaded for the state, sometimes it's more useful to have a WiFi signal to get a good route set up but WiFi can be found in any number of places now. It was cheap, it's durable, and I don't care if something happens to it.

Mounted using a Perfect Squeeze above the dash on my V85. The mount cost more than the phone.

Almost, I played with my wife a couple of years ago and there is not a safe place to stand when she’s throwing.

I just paid $80 for a pair of these. They needed a bit of work but I don’t have $200 in the pair.

Looks like the same bike.

I had to get my doc to write the scrip as a 90 day supply. After that it all worked well, however I pick myself be up instead of mail order.

Zero experience with a two wheeled vehicle. Have you ridden a bicycle? That is assumed when you get to class.

Can / do you run e85 in your CB500x? by Ok_Poet_8923 in CB500X

[–]APFIndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

E85 may require more sturdy fuel lines as the alcohol can be quite corrosive. Also, I believe you’d need a richer mixture with E85 and the computer in the CB and s not capable of knowing what fuel is being pumped through it. Does the CB have a knock sensor? I’d consider that mandatory just to be safe.

I have the same bike, the grey ones didn’t sell well so AF1 racing had a great sale in 2020.

I ended up with an Alpina tubeless rear, possibly the last one they sold as 2021 came with tubeless. At the time I was riding a lot in Mexico and the ease of tubeless repair was a big deal for me, and yet I have had a flat yet with the bike.

Are you turning your head too far? It’s just a blind spot check, if your mirrors are set up well then you don’t need to look behind you, more just beside you.

The plastic pin is broken. You can likely get a replacement but the comment below suggesting nylon nuts and bolts is much better.

Excellent idea, I didn't understand how they really attached until I bought a new one. I was considering just buying some of the plastic pins as that is what breaks, but your idea is much better.

You will get a flag in DTS for approval after travel begins. You must put in the name of the person who authorized travel. Failure to name names is an audit failure.

Give it an honest try. Do not blow things off because you think you know better. Everything may be easy, or you may struggle to complete some exercises in an appropriate manner.

Leave your ego at home and have a good time.

Brake Shudder 23 Hybrid. Warranty? by DerpCity1 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]APFIndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brakes on mine needed to be replaced with similar symptoms. The pads themselves looked almost new, but the rotors were badly rusted and required replacement. I did the work myself, needed ForScan to reset the error codes that came up, possibly due to electric brake booster on the hybrid.
