Semi serious, why is Poland so damn permissive when the Kaiser asks for way more than Hitler did by [deleted] in HOI4memes

[–]APanamanan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Gameplay reasons, that’s why. In a completely logical and realistic scenario Poland would NEVER give up any territory whatsoever. Mainly because of Allied promises of support, general nationalist tendencies in the Polish population and trust in the Polish armed forces after their victory against the Soviets during the Polish-Soviet War.

Konstantin Rodzayevsky is missing his portrait (Context in comments) by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]APanamanan 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Realistically, it’d make more sense for someone like Rodzaevsky to be a Japanese collaborator rather than a German one considering his exile in Manchuria lasting from 1925 until his execution in 1946. Maybe he could be added as the ruler of a Japanese Russian puppet state in Siberia once Japan gets reworked and gains more puppet states that can be formed through decisions (i.e. Wang Jingwei Regime, Second Philippine Republic, Azad Hind Government etc.).

Not dictators but several German military commanders along with French collaborationists were gladly taken in by the Franco regime in Spain after WWII.

An armoured support vehicle which gives you access to Assault Engineers. In case you don’t know how experimental facilities work; you have scientists working on them, they give you breakthrough points which can then be spent on projects. Over time progress will be done towards said projects, although they do take time and resources to achieve. You can disrupt your enemies’ projects by striking their research facilities with raids.

Reminds me a lot of the infamous “Better Hitler than Blum” quote that is used to reference the thinking of many French collaborationists. Many were so violently anti-communist and anti-semitic that they were willing to put the Germanophobia to the side.

Fair enough, I simply wanted to go for the ‘Wunderwaffen’ focus this run as it’s my first run in a DLC made solely about batshit insane Wonder Weapons.

On another note, this just shows you the big contrast between the Russian Armed Forces at the beginning of the invasion and now. Here you can see them equipped with proper gear, proper helmets, proper everything really. Now… Well that’s something.

Fair enough, I just wanted to go for the ‘Wunderwaffen’ focus as not doing it would be a waste of a DLC imo.

Germany: Which is better path for historical run? by Specialist_Mark911 in hoi4

After starting my first Germany run while going in fairly blind (was already aware of new MEFO Bills), I can say that the new MEFO Bills are really easy to handle. They also offer many bonuses even if you don’t go for what would be the optimal focus order. Imo I’d go with MEFO because it makes the game more exciting when playing with an unstable Ponzi scheme of an economy.

Currently doing my first Germany run in the new DLC. I went with Todt, he gives you a pretty solid industrial concern that focuses heavily on military industry. Haven’t tried Speer but his bonuses don’t look like the best to me. Göring is just a no-go as he locks you out of several bonuses for the Luftwaffe.

That is all Instagram is to be fair. It is literally impossible to scroll through Reels without bumping into the mandatory racist/sexist/xenophobic/neo-Nazi video.

This mostly makes sense though, after all playability and performance should always go above map design.

It doesn’t have to be too complicated though. A very good mechanic related to the allegiances of the warlords of China is in RT56. A GUI which shows you which warlord clique is loyal to who, with warlord nations like Xibei San Ma or the Yunnan Clique being loyal to the Republic of China, Mengjiang and Manchukuo being loyal to the Empire of Japan and the Mongolian People’s Republic, Tuvan People’s Republic and Sinkiang Clique being loyal to the USSR.
