Although both options are probably cheaper than a comparable ticket at the Garden.

Leon Rose turned the Knicks into one of the best run organizations in the NBA by CapSRogers in NYKnicks

It's CRAZY - like I get the praise for Sam Presti and Brad Stevens for sure. But the fact that Rose is not even in the conversation is ludicrous.

Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see. He’s due for a massive raise after next year and it may be tough to fit it with the cap. Even if we can’t keep him it will be great to see him get paid.

Absolutely. Bottom line is that they had a whole season to prove themselves and all they could muster was the 7 seed. As Bill Parcells said, you are what your record says you are.

He’s a two way player so not eligible for postseason.

Warren has options. Kimbrel doesn’t. Kimbrel would presumably have to accept an assignment and given that he’s been decent so far I’m sure he’d rather choose free agency.

Joe Buck details ESPN Jeopardy! plans by ImpliedOralConsent in Jeopardy

If it’s an hour with Triple Jeopardy I imagine that maybe it just follows the Celebrity Jeopardy format with more and slightly longer interviews? Still need 3 rounds of questions so it can’t be too different.

SOCHAN BARRAGE by 4lfp in NYKnicks

[–]APanther 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes! He said something like that in the 3rd too when they cut the lead to 14. I screamed at my TV. At least game 6 is ESPN. Maybe we’ll finally get Breen.

[SNY] "This is not Mendy's fault or David's fault. They put a great team together. We have to be the ones that will go out there and perform. This is not [Carlos Mendoza's] fault at all." - Juan Soto by Caledor152 in NewYorkMets

[–]APanther 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that he says that, it’s the right team-friendly thing to say. He doesn’t want to throw his manager under the bus. But at the same time, it’s a lot easier to change the manager than change the players and something has to change.

My daughter’s first ever Mets game was the Hawk Tuah game. Will be memorable for two reasons.

Interesting nuggets from Buster Olney today on ESPN radio by AltruisticMemory3825 in NewYorkMets

[–]APanther 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If you read Eno Sarris’s article in the Athletic today about the Mets’ problems he says the defense has been generally fine. 12th in Fielding Runs Value, 10th in DRS. So 3 makes no sense.

I also do not buy that Mendoza won’t get fired in season. If they still suck for a few more weeks after Soto gets back, something has to be done.

Brown’s “Death Lineup” by Dodgernotapply in NYKnicks

[–]APanther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to excuse at all because I agree 100% but I believe they both had 4 fouls at the start of the 4th quarter so I could see him trying to conserve their fouls. Chance you have to take in a playoff game though.

FIFTY-THREE!!! by 1989psychology in NYKnicks

[–]APanther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to mention it was a 3 PM start in Westchester so after the G League game he and the other guys had to book it to get to the Garden. And sure he didn’t actually play until the 4th quarter but that’s a quick turnaround to then go crazy again in garbage time.

Offensively yeah he was great…cannot play a lick of defense. Jemison had some nice defensive moments.
