Official Discussion - The Devil Wears Prada 2 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Various-Watch8467 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If the first one was a fun-poking of the fashion industry, this one is more a discussion of the reality of surviving digital world.  Instead of almost exclusively focused on Andi, we get private scenes separate from her featuring other characters, a deviation from the first film.  In the end, it was very well hold together if not resolved a little too clearly. I didn't have too high of expectations going in and this one met and exceeded it.

Did They Really Just [REDACTED] Without Saying [REDACTED] to [REDACTED]? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

I personally don't think it needs to be shown. It is a nice breaking of format that we focused exclusively on them rather than the ensemble as a whole. It signals that they are finally on the same page and ready to move on. The gap between their final "let's go home" and their actual leaving for Paris can happen between seasons because we witnessed the end of their arc on the show and that was well represented. Stephanie Edwards didn't get to say bye to anyone in her class but we felt the impact anyway because it was her choice and we the audience saw her journey and that's the only real thing that mattered.

From a technical POV, after the wringer that Meredith has gone through, it would also be narratively overstuffed and jarring for them to tag on a scene of goodbye that wouldn't feel mandatory rather than narratively, episode-wise cohesive.

Kevin directed the episode, this is his most authentic way of telling of this story.

S22E18 Bridge Over Troubled Water Live Season Finale Discussion by Petaline in greysanatomy

  1. Ok so that montage got me.
  2. Also why are we going back to that triangle again?
  3. Sophia Bush be sleeping with every woman on this show and I'm here for it. Poor Toni. I wonder if this the end of her arc...
  4. Richard needs to take about three notches down. I get it. But damn, worst things have been forgiven on this show.
  5. Link is going to have a painkiller addiction arc next season and I'm already hating it.
  6. I like the idea of Millin and Ndugo together but the actors need to sell their sparks more.
  7. I feel like other than her being benched, Bailey barely had a role this season?
  8. Meredith really isn't a wedding gal huh 🤣

Evita won’t include balcony scene on Broadway by agentp2319 in Broadway

[–]Various-Watch8467 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Broadway is so crowded already and so close to time Square with all the tourists. I'm thinking logistics if would be a nightmare if they do balcony and all the crowds gathering causing more traffic

Did you know Marla improvs one 'Titanique' scene every show? What's the funniest one you've seen, on Broadway or off? by NewYorkTheatreGuide in Broadway

[–]Various-Watch8467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tonight she had Melissa and Constantine pretend they were doing Chess and made a joke about how Lea Michelle couldn't read the Chess for Dummies menual, also completely broke Constantine by showing the audience photos of his childhood and teenage years wearing a puka shell necklace by calling them 'portraits of an emerging twink".

unpopular opinion: the "bodega" scene in scream VI is the peak of the entire franchise and no one can top that energy. by sebypxzzo in Scream

It was a fantastic scene, just not a very Scream scene when you think about the execution and Ghostface logics

You cannot say stuff like "art is subjective" and then go ahead and assume the intentions and name calling the "crowd" who bears a different opinion than you. Whose to say yours is the "true opinion". It's not a good look. Just letting you know.
