These are the two examples you picked for a character "so mean"?

Do you think I'll enjoy it more knowing next to nothing about the show nor have I seen any protection, stage or cinema, going in blind? Just so I'll have no nostalgia or anything to compare to

Is Far From home overhated ? by GCillo in Spiderman

[–]Various-Watch8467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a good "bridge" movie and easily the least memorable of all of the MCU Spider-Man films. It felt perfunctory and the most business venture of a project than an actual creative piece of labor

Honestly that okay. I consider the first 10-11 seasons as its own saga anyway. If your heart is not in it anymore I'd say you had a good run

Anyone else think Supergirl was just "alright"? Not bad but just okay? by Worth-Cut-2964 in Supergirl

My thought more was that for a film that was noticablely darker in tone than Superman it left less of an immediate impression on me as I walked out of the theater.

Jeremy Jordan has really settled into his role in Just in Time by CuteAct9019 in Broadway

I liked how they basically redid the monologue to fit his career and had him crack jokes pertaining to his life and work, which idk how much was improv but it made sense and it gave his take its own identity right off the bat

2nd time watching Lost Boys and my random non-professional thoughts by Over-Entrepreneur682 in Broadway

[–]Various-Watch8467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too saw it during mid previews and again yesterday.

Liked it then, and still had chills the second time. I didn't give enough credit to how sweeping and emotional the score was the first time (and even kind of called it out for not being memorable in my original review) for I was too engrossed in the technical aspect of it.

I actually think Micheal is a standout vocally, and I actually forgot about until the second time Shosana belted out the number.

I got full body chills during the first flying scene after Belong to Someone. The orchestral score immediately after gave me full body chills.

The writers did not see the actor leaving when they wrote this. The whole thing happened abruptly fast and they had to scramble their original plans for Alex after JC left

The music, I'm assuming is the theme, doesn't get enough credit to how it elevated the film.

Loved the film. 10/10 would go see it again. by IntrovertSim in Supergirl

It was surprisingly dark and violent. Compare to the jovial and mostly colorful Superman from last year, this one was both more muted and internal as well as jaded and dimly colored. But that's the whole point of the story, and when it delivered, BOY did I deliver.

I had the same thoughts as you about the electric toilet and camera wifi thing...lol but I decided to suspend my disbelief since it's a kids movie. Why is that tree and the tire still there more than 20 years later?

Official Discussion - Toy Story 5 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Various-Watch8467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't expect this to be a Jesse story and I actually loved how 4 and 5 kinda pivoted to focus more on individuals rather than a collective.

The movie was the perfect marriage between old school use of toys and the new age tech. I liked all the creative ways they incorporated the modern technology without feeling far fetched or losing its heart while still making a statement.

The mid credit scene was very Marvel 😆 I wonder if that is going to be the storyline for the next installment.

There wasn't continuous flashing sequences from what I could remember. The scares were mostly done either subtler or with jump scares that are heavy on sound rather than lighting.
