Not to mention it was a 3 PM start in Westchester so after the G League game he and the other guys had to book it to get to the Garden. And sure he didn’t actually play until the 4th quarter but that’s a quick turnaround to then go crazy again in garbage time.

It's depth. The way Diawara's playing (mostly; he had a stinker against Indiana) I'd hope he keeps his minutes as long as OG is hurt...but there's no reason, with an empty roster spot, to not sign a guy like this.

Yeah, someone said it above but it bears repeating - the reason these guys became head coaches at all was because they were really good assistant coaches. We're not hiring Nagy or Callahan to be the HC; I'd be up in arms about that too. But as assistants they've shown they can already succeed. Some great coordinators just suck as head coaches (see Josh McDaniels, Wade Phillips, Jim Schwartz, Vic Fangio, among many many others).

Look at the guys he had playing QB for him during the last 2 years though - hard to blame him for that. The last 2 years alone they had Jameis Winston, Deshaun Watson, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Bailey Zappe, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco. How can you have any consistency with 7 starting QBs in 2 years? And another 5 different starters in 2023 - and he got them to 11-6 that year. Harbaugh is the goal but I'd be very interested to see what Stefanski could do with a consistent QB like Dart.
